There will always be what's available right now since backwards compatibility matters to NI.

But a scripting maker made for Kontakt 5, can't utilize all the new functions in Kontakt 6

Even this one doesn't seem to support all available UI controls yet (there's no mention of ui_waveform, or text entry, buttons/switches or labels, or file selector, or value edits)...
K6 still has ways to go. Not happening this year as it seems.
I swear sometimes you just don't make a lot of sense.
If it's made for K5, why would it support K6 (when it's not even out yet)? Of course an update would be necessary at that point, but that's a given - no?

No.DarkStar wrote:Am I right to infer that this loads as a Kontakt instrument and runs its scripts to let the user build the GUI then the associated script.
How would I do background panels?
Which Kontakt version is needed (or, can it be used in Kontakt 4 by us Luddites)?
Basically it´s a KONTAKT Script Generator. It takes out the hassle of defining and screen-positioning all these various ui_controls. Yes, it will work with Kontakt 4 as well.
That´s correct.EvilDragon wrote:I think it just exports the script to be pasted in an instrument, nothing else.
If a KONTAKT 6 is close to release, then yes, probably!Numanoid wrote:If Kontakt 6 is in the making, the scripting possibilities will probably be altered/expanded when that is released

When KONTAKT 6 is out, KGM will most likely be updated (given that there´s enough interest)Numanoid wrote:But a scripting maker made for Kontakt 5, can't utilize all the new functions in Kontakt 6

This looks really cool... I'm just starting to get into Kontakt scripting, for a series of instruments I've been preparing samples for over the past year+ (with months still to go).
I've made a couple of UI's that are "o.k.". but one is way too "busy" (cluttered) and I've been considering 'tabbing' portions of the interface, rather than have all of it visible at once.
So, can I load an existing UI, and mod portions of it in that manner, or at least load an existing UI to manipulate the elements position(s)?
Either way, I will be getting this to experiment. Thanks.

Yes, you can load an existing script file, KGM will read out the portions of interest, display the controls and let you change their propertiesShabdahbriah wrote:This looks really cool... Question: were any of the GUIs for your other products built with KGM? If so which ones?

No, they were done "manually"!DarkStar wrote:Question: were any of the GUIs for your other products built with KGM? If so which ones?
A first working beta of KGM should be ready towards the weekend. (+/- a few days).
So all, who pre-ordered can then give it a first try. I hope to have sliders and buttons ready by then

I've paid for the pre-order and wondered if a beta will be available soon? I'm really interested in this product but it seems "dead" for a couple of weeks. Anything happening with this project? Developments?
