Just finished voting. Don't have 40+ posts, but I've entered a song.

I completely agree ... the fact that it can play havoc with your emotions is proof enough ... :hihi:

We're all human and we all have biases. I try to keep mine out of the voting as much as I can. Otherwise, I'd probably vote a lot of people much lower than I do. I take performance and mix first. If you've nailed that and I don't like the song, you'll still get a high mark from me. Fortunately, I enjoy most music. In fact, the only music I can say definitively that I don't like is Rap and Reggae. I've tried, but I just can't get into either. Though, there are exceptions. I like "In The End" by Linkin Park (Rap) and "I Shot The Sheriff" by Eric Clapton (sort of Reggae) but for the most part, I can do without either genre. But EDM, I've really grown to appreciate if not so much for the compositions, the productions. I can't listen to it for hours on end like I can pop, rock and genres that I grew up with, but I can handle an hour or two in small doses.

But like I said, we're all human and it's impossible not to let our personal preferences creep in at least a little.

At least you will know that voting for the OSC will have more impact than voting for our clowns in Par"liar"ment

Also I get to vote for decent people doing something worthwhile
Or at least I would if the OSC voting page didn't keep crashing on me. I have to refresh the page after each vote :(

Soundcloud is not very reliable. I also noticed when I want to reply a comment or leave a new comment it does not work. I have to re-load the page many times.

Sounds interesting. Think it might help me analyze my mixes and give me a decent chance of knowing how to fix them?
