Always reproducible:
Modulating Grain Size inside MXXX, either with an LFO or a Macro will create overloads, audio drops out with a loud thump, then the plugin goes mute and has to be deleted and re-inserted to retrieve audio.

Occurring in Logic X on a Mac Pro Yosemite.

It also happen when modulating grain length, as I am in the process of finalizing all my MXXX presets, all the ones with modulated grain times/lengths produce overloads/dropouts. I will check later if this is also the case in the MBandGranular plugin-

I just checked the MBandGranular plugin version, and as expected these overloads also occur there, unfortunately I did not have a limiter engaged, that hurt....

It even happens with no audio passing through the plugin at all, just by assigning grain size to an LFO or a Macro. And the overloads are far more gruesome than inside MXXX (much loader and brighter, in MXXX it just goes THUMP.)

Sure hope Melda can address this quickly so as not to delay your new release for MXXX

Well, I read he just got married so probably has other prefs right now, I still need another 10 days minimum anyway and if it doesn't get fixed til then I'll release it anyway and issue a big warning in the release notes :)

Confirmed here (Windows 7)

Just doing the Modulator "Learn" I got an Output level on the meter of 230.4 ! And enabling the modulator gives a value of 206. That was without any real audio signal going into MXXX.

Fixed in 10.0.1 - thank you!

Although the former bug got fixed there is a new, severe issue with the granulator, it produces crackles a lot when modulating grain size with e.g. an LFO using two transposed voices, no matter how you set the xfade or parameter or smart interpolation in “settings“, it often crackles like hell, not so nice and I haven't found any kind of workaround, this wasn't happening in version 9 at all, something has changed obviously.

Ok, so please send me some audio and some settings as always ;)

Well, as it's always reproducible you could dial in something yourself ;)

I just quickly made this granular patch from scratch, 3 voices, 2 of them transposed, LFO1 modulates grain size. Just insert it e.g. on a Rhodes sound -> instant crackle fest which comes and goes so play around for a little while.

Also the crackling occurs much more often when playing low notes like between C1 - C3.

Damn, it's there indeed... hmmm, this is getting complicated :)
