I told them I just read online that it's on clearance at all stores for $99. Got put on hold... Then was told "yup, It's $99.99". Seems like you need to know about it is what I say ;) I begged them to hold a copy for me or charge my credit card over the phone as I won't be able to go to Guitar Center until Monday. The guy took my name and number and said he was putting it with the "layaway" stuff and that I can come get it on Monday (I didn't pay for it yet). Man, I hope it's really there on Monday when I go... and that I am told it is still the same price.. :?: Positive thoughts
Or now that you've tipped off the GC employees that this product is dirt cheap they will buy them all up.. which is one of the reasons why never to call.

But maybe your GC is stocked with high integrity peoples.
That's basically a myth. I could drive down to the local GC and it's probably in stock. As for that free piano I think I have four of them.
It is not a myth... happens all the time.. not specifically with GC either.

I couldn't wait until Monday to find out if I really scored a copy so I drove to GC this morning and my copy was indeed on hold for me in the "layaway" pile. I ended up paying about $110 including taxes. It does come in a "nice-ish" box (that was sealed with 2 stickers, but not shrink wrapped). Inside the box is a sturdy USB stick, some stickers and installation instructions. I just registered the serial number on the UVI web site and it worked (I see the license in my iLok account). I am now installing off of the USB stick as well as downloading some updates from the UVI web site (some of the titles have more recent versions available for download). Me so happy.

I'd call ahead, even if it says it's available at your store online. I bought the last two in the Twin Cities for a couple of KVRians, and Roseville still says they have one in-stock. He looked everywhere, and it does not appear to be in the store, anymore. I'd have picked one up for me, if it'd been there. :?

It even includes a USB stick, so you don't have to download, like 64GB size?

Wow, this deal just gets better and better.

I mean, when backed up, that stick can be used as a regular USB storage device?

I would imagine that you could. I am not doing it though. Keeping it intact just in case. But yes, there are only a few things that have more recent versions that can be downloaded. The majority of the stuff can be installed using the USB stick without having to download more up to date versions.

I sure don't mind. The serials are registered, and I have two 64GB USB drives. :tu:

My motto: Every little bit counts! 8)

And not all 64GB sticks are the same, I got a couple of 'em, which I got at such a price, but the write speed is sloooooooooooow

So if the UVI one is rapid, it is worth more

well I just drove about an hour round trip to get the VV, was worth it to me. Was not in stock at the one close to me.

There's ones fewer in Appleton, WI, now. ;)

Dusted William, All the buyer needs is the serial, if they have internet capable of downloading it. Shipping not necessarily necessary. ;)

Thank you, Rhytenow, so very much! I'm only a hobbyist producer, and VV has been something that I've wanted (but that's been out of my price range) for quite some time now. That's changed because of your post/ heads-up. Thanks again for taking the time to post the sale information.

You're welcome! I just happened to stumble in guitar center and wanted to check out what new software they had.

Did you happen to notice anything else on significant discount?
