I like the 'crazy' second part the best. Sort of a rock/dubstep mix.

Unfortunatelly, velocity is indeed hardcoded to volume, yes
I should add that as additional entry to the mod matrix. But at this point doing that would probably mess up people's work

And also just a 'constant'. There is no other way to use a single envelope with different sustain values across parameters as far as I can tell. This would be an easy solution... and of course negative envelope. This would add lots of flexibility. Though, there really aren't a lot of parameters to modulate (how about the fx parameters as targets?).
