I'm new to synth programming and are currently on the search for a collection of patches suitable for modern techno productions, both for own productions and inspiration/guidance towards designing my own sounds.
Typically techno sounds are dark, brutal, industrial and very dirty and suited for staccato play. The dirt is to a great extent added with filters, but even so I still struggle with finding a collection with this focus.
Most collections seems to be focused on mainstream EDM/commercial style stuff, or oldschool/retro style stuff. By all means, some stray useful patches here and there are found in most places, but I'd love to see what a pro audio designer can do if focused on this particular style.
I currently own Hive and will get Bazille shortly, but don't mind purchasing any of the U-He synth if need be. I'll get'em all in time anyway. So are any of you guys aware of some good soundsets for any of the U-He synths that are particularly suitable for these kind of productions?
Techno-focused soundset?

I am not so much into techno, but if you want nasty, gnarly, tweakable, modular-type sounds you should have a look at u-he ACE with tasmodia's soundsets:

ACE is a totally underrated synth imho. And those soundsets really get it to shine. Every sound has 3-4 controls assigned for tweaking. Lost of fun to just to play around with the sounds. There are a lot of sound examples on the webpage and also a free soundset (ACETONE).
Cheers, Jan
