I'm just starting to really dig the sound of rock'n'roll with the real drums, guitars and other live instruments. I love my synthesizers, but I feel like I want to focus on guitar again..

Instead of hitting "play" i want to actually play if you catch my drift.

Anyone else feel this way?
Happened to me a long time ago to be honest. There's not much electronic music that catches my attention these days at all. I prefer listening to instruments that move air as I get older.

I never liked pure acoustic music and I don't like Rock/Heavy Metal etc. but there is a good combination which often works great (Piano, Guitar, Percussions etc. and electronic instruments). But also as an experienced Accordeon player (learned this instrument in over 6 years) and I play also a bit guitar... I love synth a lot more and this are "my" instruments and I never get tired of electronic music ;)

Re: Getting tired of electronic synth based music.
i'm not interested in "synth vs. 'real' instrument", i'm just interested in sound, whatever is the source of it. i listen to a lot of different music and i try to get the sounds, i like, in a daw, be it via midi or via audio.

Getting tired of a specific genre is a phase most of us pass thru, at least temporarily. It's just normal if you listen too much on a genre and you discover other music styles and broadens your taste. One thing I love with synths is I dont have to spend time on tuning before hit record. Tuning can be time consuming and it's so boring.
