hello does tracktion 7 produce a tiny fade of about 2-3 samples when rendering audio as i need to make seemless loops that are sample accurate.. is there an option to disable this? i have tried reaper and they have an option to disable auto fades on media which then renders audio sample accurately

settings, general behavior, and then last from the bottom option set it to "off by default"
also in the audio clip section on the bottom of the project you working on in 2nd column you have an option to change the numbers of "fade in" and "fade out".
Cheers

hello U4Ya,
I have tried that option before coming here but still get the same results
as you can see in the first picture "the original wave" was placed on a track and exported from tracktion and tracktion seems to add a little fade at the start.. i have repeated this in reaper and it is practically the same as it went in regarding the starting few samples that resemble a "stairs" and the total loop length of 81,415 samples.
tracktion seems to export this 4 bar loop of 130bpm at 81,920 samples in total length complete with fade at the start...
yet i think other sequencers export it at the correct 81,415 samples in length
so i think tracktion rendering is slightly off?

hi, yes i have tried this also just to test the rendering on tracktion..
when i render a loop with the i/o markers set exactly at each end of the loop tracktion will add a short fade to the loop and the loop length will also be changed by a about 500 samples at the end.
when i render with the i/o markers further apart the loop is unchanged and but i will have to manually delete the silence and seems a lot of extra work to find the starting point of the loop and the correct length.
i think this should be looked at as a sequencer should be able to export audio sample accurately reaper does this and many others..
it might also be due to tracktion not displaying samples as a timecode or something ..im not sure.
can anybody else verify this or is it just me? could they do a test with a stepped sign wave or something
