How do people in the US pay for Beat Magazine? I used Google translate to try and make sense of the invoice and couldn't make sense of it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I used TransferWise ( https://transferwise.com ) to send the funds to Beat Magazine's SWIFT bank account. They took the money from my US (Wells Fargo) checking account. There were a few tricks (the invoice code Beat sent had a slash in it that TransferWise wouldn't let me put into the reference field, but it worked without it) and it took a few weeks total.

There was a big delay before the funds were delivered and then Beat sat on it for more than a week (they did answer email I wrote using Google Translate saying they were waiting for the funds to clear and that everything was fine). In the end I did get the code for AEON Complete for $81.97 total including all the fees/currency conversion/etc. I am hoping to actually get the magazine too, but so far nothing. Google Translate on a phone/tablet can work live with the camera, so you can actually read the magazine.

Gotta have the bundle, imo; so much goodness in there! I'd start saving now, and hope they have another Black Friday sale. That's when I bought ST5, and I got it for under $300. Nice.

But if you're really itching to buy one now, I'd go with the EchoBoy, Tremolator, or PhaseMistress, depending on which effect you were most interested in (delay, tremolo, or phaser).

EchoBoy is more than just a standard delay, though; it's really versatile. It's also more expensive.

The MicroShift is also very cool. I find myself using that a lot.

I think I'd either go with EchoBoy, or, if you can swing it, 2 of the 3 out of Tremolator, Phase Mistress, and MicroShift.

The best way to decide is to try 'em first, obviously.

They sent the code via email, it took just over a week from when TransferWise said the money was deposited and they finally sent the code. The first issue of the magazine #128 just arrived here on Monday, almost a month after the code. And then yesterday (Tuesday) I got a second issue of the magazine, #127. Which makes no sense really some sort of bizarre time warp I guess. I'd send beat@aboteam.de and ask them about it. They were very responsive.

I'd get the 30 day demo and try them all out, for me the highlights are Echoboy and phaseMistress, very versatile and they sound great

Unfortunately I consumed my trial back in March and a busy schedule during that month stopped me from trying them out thoroughly. I can't remember a thing!

Was thinking initially about the tube warmers like Little Radiator or Radiator.

They sent a correction email. That upgrade path is not a valid one. Refunds will be given to those that purchased.

That particular upgrade is supposed to be for those that own Soundtoys 4.

However, if you do buy one of the little ones, you do get a discounted upgrade at the Soundtoys site. It's just not THAT low.

I suspect the upgrade serial wouldn't have worked so contacting them probably didn't make much difference in the outcome.
