Hi,

I'm comparing MCompare vs Magic A/B. So far MCompare seems to be more versatile. The only problem I have is that M4A files are not supported. As being an iTunes user MCompare doesn't resolve my issue that I have to convert my audio compare files. The second thing I miss is the possibility to change the LU meter scale to for example K-12. It seems to be fixed at EBU -18dB and all my other meters are set (so I'm used to) K-12.

Wouldn't this be nice features? Or am I looking wrong?

Regards,

Martijn

Hi Martijn,

are you using the newest version? M4A should be supported on OSX since 10.01 or something. As for K-meters sorry I consider them obsolete, LU is the current thing.

Hi,

Sorry, I'm on Windows 10. Is there a possibility to use M4A?

Hi Martijn,

I'm afraid it won't be possible. In fact I'm very surprised you are using iTunes on Windows...

Just noticed I could not play a 32bit wav file (Win 10 64b). Displays and outputs loud noise with the music mixed in underneath. Not usually an issue, just checking if this is normal. Thanks.

Please send me such a file to info@meldaproduction.com. There are often problems with these files, as some DAWs just generate a wrong format (there's the 32-bit int vs. 32-bit float option...).
