After 2 weak weeks with a not so funny sickness (yeah, only human being here...), I today sent Stefan the final graphics for Zebra's knobs... was a lot of hassle to create those infamous stacked images from my dynamically drawing vector routines... sometimes, MacOS X sucks. Using QuickTime, FSSpecs and QuickDraw is soooo OS9ish... unbelievable...
Reg. Betas... hehehe, I don't make promises... estimate: very soon. Stefan, what do you say?
Cheers,
Urs

sorry to say this, but you'll have to be patient just a little longer. The changes to Jewel required to make the Zebra UI take more time than I first thought.
I've gotten not nearly as far as I wanted to in the last 2 weeks.
The good news however is, that from yesterday on I have a 2 weeks vacation. That means, from now on I can work on the project full time, not only in the evening hours between work and falling into bed exhausted.
I hope I will come as far as getting the synth into beta stage by the end of my 2 weeks of holiday. However, I can't make a promise...
Urs, there is probably a problem with the alpha channel of the knobs you sent me - they appear to be far too transparent, you hardly see anything, at least when drawing them onto white background. I'll soon test them on the correct background and hope they'll look right there...
Best,
Stefan

Hehehe, they should be okay... I can't see much on white background either... the backgrounds in Zebra are rather dark, and there it should look properstefankuhn wrote:Urs, there is probably a problem with the alpha channel of the knobs you sent me - they appear to be far too transparent, you hardly see anything, at least when drawing them onto white background. Zebra PC status: Page 2 of 8 done! (well, almost)

Well... the engine already plays fine and all major changes to Jewel have been made.
I'm now putting all the controls onto the 8 pages of the synth (3 upper pages + 5 lower pages). For some of the pages, I still have to write some rather advanced special controls, for example the "synthesis grid", where you can plug the OSC and Modulator modules together in the way you want.
Anyway, I thought I'd post this, so you know and see there is some progress.
Best
