I'm a new owner of Synthmaster Player and just getting going using it.
Seems fine in auditioning sounds and for playing the first bar, but second bar chord change has the previous notes sustaining along with the new notes played. Like hung midi notes almost. I do get some hung midi sounds where I have to change preset to get it to stop.
Any idea what to try?
I'm using StudioOne3 win7
Thanks

It seems to be an issue with the new 2.8 version. I mentioned this on another thread a few weeks back. It has made Synthmaster nearly unusable for me. A few weeks back, I reprogrammed my main controller for a set and didn't send sustain to Synthmaster. For the time being, I have had to put my use of Synthmaster on hold. I'm kind of torn because I really enjoy the sounds I've used and have received nice comments on the sounds I'm using live.
Like you, I get notes sustaining by the second chord change. I use layers and have to individually go to each instance of Synthmaster and tap the 'Panic' button to turn each off one at a time.

Is there any time estimate for the sustain pedal fix? It has really been a problem. It has made Synthmaster difficult to use. This week I was hoping to use it and trigger some drum patterns live but as soon as I step on the sustain pedal so I can use my hand to switch pattern, the note sustains forever.

I decided to do some investigating and figured out it is when I use my Yamaha FC3 sustain pedal. As soon as I use the pedal, notes sustain until I switch to a different patch or hit the panic button. The FC3 sends out extra data for half-damper. Could that be effecting things?
I tried a different pedal and things are much, much better. I was still able to get a hanging note by hitting a note, stepping on sustain, hit the same note again, then lift off sustain. But in normal playing, it was much more difficult to reproduce the hanging notes. I even kept a three note chord held with my right hand and switched what my left hand plays and had no issues while stepping on/off the pedal as I played.

I have had the same problem with the sustain pedal control in SynthMaster v2.8....
It did not happen before this upgrade...
I have emailed their support, but I haven't heard back from them yet...
Hopefully, they are going to fix this because sustain is a fairly important control source

I still think the developer reads and sees these messages, but he seems to be more active in the 'Instruments' section in the main forums than in this specific one for the company. I believe he acknowledged reading my original post about it in the big 2.8 Release thread in the 'Instruments' forum. But I wonder if he could not reproduce it.
There was a different issue before 2.8. In 2.7, rather than sustaining the notes, it would stop them. If you re-hit a note while holding the sustain pedal, the note was getting released when lifting off the pedal even though you still had your fingers pressing the keys.

Well I'm preparing a set for next week which uses a bunch of Synthmaster sounds. Songs I've played in the past but with SM 2.7. Now I am getting the sustain pedal problem no matter which pedal I use. Simply using either pedal is leaving all notes hanging. It is quite frustrating. Any estimate on a fix for this?
The more I play with Synthmaster, the more I like it. But this sustain pedal issue makes it unusable in a live situation. I'm probably going to have to find other sounds to take their place.
