That is totally funked up. I'm running a P4 2.53Ghz with 1GB RAM and I can get a Rhino, z3ta, Cameleon, and an Eve all at once without redlining the puppy!

I faintly recall trying to use DS-404 in Tracktion and having some weirdness, but I think it was saving programs when I saved the song.. never used it again. Try dropping the DS404 out and seeing what happens!

I think Computer Music Magazine admitted that some of the CM plugs can cause problems...that may be it.

Well chaps, that's me just back from another venture to the DAW side. Same setup with "low level noise" turned on. Nah! Pish.
So I fired up sfz for the first time ever with that mapping doohickity.
Try as I might. I was using both hands AND my head on the keyboard for all I was worth (I'm a scotsman, we use our heads for hitting things) the CPU would not budge over 50%
In the process I managed to lose my anal sex bassline. Think I chose wrong option when T fired up? Dunno the whole system went wierd when I shut down after my first trauma. Took a month to reboot. CPU knackered with denormaling maybe!
Anyway everything in place and alls well. f**k DS-404. That sfz works dandy.

yeah man! had bastards on me DAW before. They made noises. Wierd shick-shick noise every ten mins or so. You may remember my posts in Hardware. Was right spooky. Had M-Audio on the case and everything. Ran stinger and it burst the wee c**t.
Happened while I was setting up DAW. Had to temp fire up interweb to do windies update. No V checker on me DAW boot.
