So do you think Tracktion 7 will ever be able to use 32-bit plugs like Reaper?

Do you mean the 64bit version using 32bit plugs? I use the 32 bit version all the time.

Sorry - I wasn't very clear. Run 32-bit plugs on the 64-bit version of T7.

Since no version of Tracktion has ever had a built in bridge, I would guess it's fairly unlikely. jBridge is cheap and fairly simple to use, however, and will work across all your DAWs. (Though I haven't used it in years after I finally just sucked it up and committed to a full-on 64 bit workflow. It left a few blank spots in the plug-in line-up that took a while to fill, but it was nice to not have to worry about the whole issue anymore).

Personally I would hope they put their time and effort into things that are not backwards oriented .... better performance, support for touch and pen, etc.

I guess I just don't like the idea of Reaper having some solid capability that T7 lacks.

I have jbridge but because of a few issues ended up bridging to 32 bit from 64 bit plugins. I add my name to the list that would like built in bridging.

I like to see TSC working on more future proof stuff instead of wasting the time to support standards which are about to die out. I know some really cool stuff out there doesnt get the jump to 64 bit and will likely never in the future, but 64bit is on the way for how long? I think I read the first time about this almost 10 years ago and since 5 years devs a really in to this. I think its time to say goodbye to all this little 32bit treasures out there, they had there time. I've done that 3 years ago and never looked back. But I think jbridge is worth a shot, just in case....

Why not just use the 32 bit T7 on your 64bit machine/ 64bit OS ?? Also can't you install both T7(32) and T7(64) side by side ???? I'd like for it to have native bit bridge too but I just don't see it happening ????

This is my current setup. It works OK. Just a tad messy IMHO.
