Is it possible using the textured style editor to change the default colours used for colourization in the plugins?

Yes it is:
-- the five colours seen in each plug-in's Colour Settings window are in the Colours section of the Structured Style Editor (SSE),
-- then for each element where you use the Rendered choice you can specify that object's base colour,
-- and for each element where you Generate it you can specify 4 colours,
-- or load a pre-defined image,
-- in all 3 cases you can blend in amounts of the 5 main colours.

Remember that you may also want to change the first 8 (9?) presets in the Colour settings panel for the style.

What, exactly, do you want to change?

Well in the settings there is "enable colourization"
I would like to use it, but when I turn it on the colours really clash with my colour scheme. I wish to be able to change these to fit my scheme better.

Change them in Multiparameters where you can get to them. Change the green.

Oops, I misunderstood.

No, not the multiparameters. If you open MPowerSynth or MPhatik is has colourization on the interface.

These colors are predefined, you can only disable it entirely in Settings, so that the default colors will be used.
