Surely if you render the track with Final mix on it you can workaround that...no?jens wrote: Whatever you switch on/off it always eats up the same amount of cpu-cycles![]()

so it's rarely usable as a track-plug- how can anyone programme such a great great programme and then make such a stupid stupid mistake?

Mine releases the CPU. I'm 100% sure I just tested it. Maybe you picked a preset that didnt use much CPU so you couldnt notice the drop. I just tryed it on a track and on the Master bus, they both relese.jens wrote:This thing sounds so great and is so easy to use!!!![]()

But: one thing about it is damned damned shit:

No final Mix plug appears in my version. Yes, I am on a PC.
I have downloaded the full 1.6.0.1 version twice and installed it twice. No luck.
What could I be doing wrong?
I installed it into a new Tracktion folder named Tracktion 1.6.0.1 rather than overwriting the prior version.
Is it supposed to show up in the plug-in tree?

Never mind. I figured it out.
Because I put new versions in new folders named the same as the version number, and Tracktion is looking for native plugins in a folder named Tracktion, it wasn't finding the new native plugs.

yes, you can use it for a lot of things and some of the presets suggest it.AD80 wrote:Yeah theres some nice guitar and vox presets. And even a nice phone preset. Although I sure as hell wouldnt use that plug just to make something sound like a phone.
This is because you can use it in a lot of ways:
- twelve band eq
- single band compressor
- single band compressor with pre/post eq
- dual band compressor
- dual band compressor with pre/post eq
- three band compressor
- soft clip limiter
etc.
all the modules sound really great so if the cpu would get released when you switch some of them of
you could use it easily as a track-plugin for many
applications.
But like it is it just uses too much cpu

I dont get a little detail in final mix... When you pull up the key volume, thats more like the "line in" right? Then you change the actual end volume by adjusting gain in the compressors. Right?
It seems different than how ozone works, in the gui sense right?
