I used to feel the same way, but since having OS upgrades (and subsequent downgrades - no thank you Microsoft) and restoring system images multiple times, etc. I actually prefer ilok'd plugins. It's just the most convenient way to active and deactivate your licenses. The other stuff took me hours.
edit: for clarification, I mean the Ilok License Manager. Not the dongle. I agree with you about the dongle.

They could do it like Peavey does with Revalver 4 Amp Sim. The protection is recorded to you HDD or a thumb drive. Just to clarify we don't require an Ilok key just to use the licence manager. You can soft unlock and don't even need to make an account unless you want to

what windows you have ?. i think ilok work maybe good on 32 bit systems but on 64 bit win 7 and win 10 it work very bad. I get mostly random hang, when add a plugin and the dialog for software activation continue come (if a demo install). so if i buy, i see no chance to add serial number. ilok frustrate me very much, because i like air music sounds. xpand2 i have buy and i see what happen, when register. yesterday i get error see screenshot. really bad that air release his products so cheap, so i are lots motivate to get it working on my system. currently i spend hours to see ilok software crashing. i have a ilok dongle too, but now all licences or demo licences on computerRazzCE wrote:I used to feel the same way, but since having OS upgrades (and subsequent downgrades - no thank you Microsoft) and restoring system images multiple times, etc. I actually prefer ilok'd plugins. Hello, it would seem that the ilok service was not correctly installed on your computer.
Please uninstall both Xpand!2 and iLok. Then please re-run the installer, then check in the iLok manager if there are any updates available for your system.

hello, thanks for answer, I have install newest licencesupportinstallerwin64_2 3.03 2 days before. my xpand i get working again, after i do function take ownership in 3.03 ilok licence manager i guess. but its possible that it work again by random. I dont know wy before my name was not in. the demo of strike and minigrand have still the problems of hang. trail period end 27. august. is there no logfile option possible to see what the problem is ?. i have sonivox eighty eight demo installed too. use ilok too. it work since 3 days when try start without problems on cubase 8 and rapidcomposer and mulab 7. only on reaper it hang after plugin add. eightyeight have a additional program, eightyeight authorizer. so even if the DAW do not work with this requester, it can authorize. minigrand sound better as eightyeight so i prefer this. but they work very selden and i did not know, when i buy them and no requester come, if they work good for long time

I install now the riser demo 1.0.7. now my xpand and all other demos i installed show above Fatal error. Relation Query.... i deinstall ilok licence manager 3.03, reboot, install it again and reboot again. still not work. ilok manager show that no new updates are here. What files are need to get it working again ?. if the riser install some old pace copyprotection files, then it is really bad program. is here somebody with a win 10 64 system that get it working ok ?. riser hang in rapid composer, work in mulab 7, cubase 8 currently. all other pace protection soft do not work. also eightyeight do not work. seem it was really good idea not to buy any pace protectet plugin, but the low price for the air software motivate me, to find more what the problem is. maybe somebody from pace or air can help

hello, ok i write first to pace, let see if they answer. my CPU i have is i5 760 its 4 core 2.8 GHZ. work fast and stable with 12 GB ram. the board is a gigabyte P55A UD3. maybe this is known from you as problem

I get answer from pace support. I have since i do my last post here not use any pace protect VST. before i do the steps i get from pace support, i try out if it work. another day, another luck.and i have luck. xpand2, minigrand, strike ,the riser work, in cubase 8 le , mulab 7. now rapid composer 3 do hang when add a air plugin(work before). "pace eden experience proxy do not react" message come, when i want close the window. I have german windows, so text is diffrent. on reaper this happen with all pace protectet plugins that run in demo mode. please can you test your air plugins in Demo on win 10 64 and reaper 5. reaper have demo version. Does it work on your system ?. i use reaper in admin mode or not. do always hang in this requester. the same hang get with mulab 7, rapidcomposer, cubase 8 le randomly.

1) Quit iLok License Manager if currently running as well as any other
binary that would be using our protection
2) Go the Start
3) In the search field type in ?services? (without quotes)
4) Choose ?Services? from the search results
5) Within the Services window, look for ?PACE License Services?
6) Right-click it and choose ?Stop? from the pop-up menu
7) Leaving the Services window open, open a Windows File Explorer window
8) Navigate to the following location (this can be cut and pasted into the
address bar):
C:\ProgramData\PACE\Eden
9) Delete all ?.sbd? files found there and then close the Windows File
Explorer window
10) Return back to the Services window
11) Right-click ?PACE License Services? and choose ?Start? from the pop-up
menu
The client database on Windows will be reset after completing this step.

Can somebody please from air please answer, or should i write again to pace about this problem ?. I do the steps pace tell. my file com.paceap.eden.clientdb.v1.01.sdb was before 2.4 megabyte after that is 4.4 megabyte. Problems are the same. I notice additonal to other problems, when i save a song in mulab 7 with strike demo and load it, then mulab hang, with requester without content(see above)
