Zynaptiq Adaptiverb released

There appears to be something that filters out transients going into the brain resynthesis engine. What if there were controls to allow some of those transients to trigger the synth and also the release of the synth.
I am running a drum machine into Adapti and I am experiencing this, where essentially none of the sounds triggers the resynthesis. but I am thinking what if it did. perhaps a threshold control to allow some transients in, or perhaps just call it "attack" in msec where less attack lets more of the transient through. a lot of drum sounds have a tone and if the brain can pick up on this I think it would be interesting to hear little bunches of spectra to excite the reverb.
And, here is another track. This is Tremor feeding into Adaptiverb (on a buss). All that is happening is the pattern is changing and the dry level. It starts out with no dry signal. Also the reverb is set up to only let the resythesized signal into the RT HD reverb. The Tremor patch is from Simon's patch set for Tremor. I've tweeked the sounds to excite the reverb. as they were they were too fast to trigger the resythesis. mostly I lengthened the release and in some cases brightened the sound up. You can also hear Adaptiverb overload near the end due to a quirk of Tremor.

The Sustain Resynth indeed has the property of not passing noise, transients or other fluctuations. It is built using a technology also used to teach self-driving cars how to avoid obstacles. This is a super sensitive system, and as such, changing any time constants or making it pick up shorter or more noisy components would break the characteristics – the "resistance" to noise, transients and generally, fluctuations, makes for the super precise reproduction without warbling – it is what makes this sound so good. There's more info on this in the manual, which I highly recommend reading
You can see how high the sensitivity is by feeding the plugin a sine-tone, and then adding white noise in. The noise will add some very slight modulation even if it's at around -140dB!
All that said, we had discussed adding a different algorithm that you could switch to, which would be geared more towards extreme tone bending than towards lushness-induction. After all, our DSP guy Stephan Bernsee was the guy that wrote the Hartmann Neuron DSP engine, the Prosoniq Magenta engine, and all of the sonic alienification stuff in the old sonicWORX Artist – so we do have a *bunch* of resynthesis and transmogrification tricks up our sleeve

a switch for "percussive mode" or whatever.. FSU mode or whatever would be rad. it's one of my fav things about sonic charge's "Permut8" is the alt "firmwares" that can be loaded essentially changing what's under the hood.
some kind of alt mode in Adaptiverb would be genius.. embracing the noise/dirt/bent nature of whatever comes out of it.

New video, showing basic Sustain, Reverb and harmonic Contour Filtering examples on a Piano. I didn't spend a whole lot of time to find perfect settings, it's kind of "quick and dirty". This is not a "far out" but a "bread and butter" type video...though at the end I do kinda get into shoegaze territory

But just to be clear on timing/expectations – significant new algorithm features are things we typically only do on full-version number updates, or maybe at x.5 – as they typically involve UI changes, research, testing...and the lengthy process of passing my super picky flavor-QA

Yes, that's a cool trick. Generally, morphing between the source material and ADAPTIVERB's wet signal can be muchos awesome. Or between two very different ADAPTIVERB settings.
