On the Wiki it still says it's supposed to switch back to Note mode on release. Not working here with Push1 on OS X.
That was very useful ...
Thanks for reporting!
Please check the latest version on GitHub which should fix the bug.

- There are still problems with the grid when changing tracks in note mode. Synth tracks still switch to drum mode, etc. This happens most of the times
I tracked this down to Bitwig sending too much unecessary updates on track change. I wrote a report.
stamp wrote: - Sometimes I can enter the fx track section but I can't select the fx tracks.
Can you reproduce that?
stamp wrote: - Sometimes when starting Bitwig I have to switch Push on/off to make it work.
Is nothing working or only the pads?
stamp wrote: - When in session mode the left/right buttons change track. Is this the intended behavior? I think they should move the rectangle instead (by a factor of 1).
Yes, that's intentional. The rectangle moves in blocks of 8.

Mmmh... hope they fix this soon. Should I report, too?

I can select fx tracks only if they are visible on the monitor, if hidden I can't select them.

I'm afraid that was a false bug report. In Ableton I have to reboot Push every time I start Live to make it work. I made a bit of confusion. Sorry.

The arrows move track selection by a factor of 1 untill you reach the 8th (or 1st) track inside the rectangle and then they move the rectangle in a block of eight (and select the first track of the block).
So now I'm in session mode, track 3. If i want to launch a clip in track 18 I have to select track 8, press arrow, select track 16, press arrow, select track 18 or I can scroll of course.
But that's not the point. The problem is that as is it is not possible to have the rectangle selecting (for example) tracks 3 to 11. This way it would be possible to tweak the volume of track 5 and track 9 at the same time, or launch clips in those tracks etc. Now that's not possible.
Since shift+left/right moves the rectangle by 8 (really) imo this would be a convenient function (there's also the session overview).

Is it somehow possible to lower the time needed for the momentary function on the session/scale buttons to kick in?

When in browse mode as soon as I touch the two small encoders or the master volume encoder the browser closes and the screen says "nothing to browse". Not a biggie but there's place for improvement.

Thank you!

Cheers

What do you mean by "hidden"?

It is set to 400ms. You can change it in the file "framework/core/AbstractControlSurface.js":

AbstractControlSurface.buttonStateInterval = 400;

A little official update:

7.33

- Fixed: Keeping Session button pressed did not return to previous play view.

Get it from http://mossgrabers.de/Software/Bitwig/Bitwig.html

Enjoy!

Oh boy, yes ... that would be pretty awesome!
Same goes for the Mute/Stop Clips combination in Session View. The option to reverse this behavior would be a total benefit, especially when you take a little more improvisational approach on clip launching.

On the computer screen there's a button to show/hide fx tracks. When they are visible (on the computer screen) I can select them inside Push. When they are not visible (hidden) on the computerscreen I can't access them on Push.

Cool.

Not sure where to put this but....

Is push worth it for bitwig ? I need something nice to navigate with but mainly jam out drum seq and chord seq and put in my arranger clips.

So if it is, is it worth getting push two or one ? The GUI seems nice on the teo but is it really worth it. I found a few people selling the two on the 400-500 side. and a few selling the one for 2-300

Sundaybugreport.

2 bugs, 1 question I've encountered in the last days.

1. Launching clips from session view will send MIDI on some pads.

2. It's not possible to select pages on more than 8 FX tracks.

Image

Even if I hardly ever use 16 FX tracks, it happens as well when using FX in groups:

3. Related to the 2. bug, but maybe a current limitation, or intentional, or bug ...
When there are FX tracks in groups they are shown together with the main FX in the project.

- Entering a group from Push doesn't change this.
- Entering a group in BWS, only shows FX of this group.

Happy sunday evening ... :phones:

I can confirm that. Not sure if this is intended to work that way or if it is a bug. I put it here: https://github.com/teotigraphix/Framewo ... issues/119

Good catch! Check out the new version on GitHub.

You mean selecting them from within Bitwig? Seems that was missing. Should be fixed.

That's because FX and instrument/audio tracks are separated. If you press "Mix/Track" again you will see the FX tracks in the group.

So I read that the display on Push 2 should be working, but mine doesn't. Everything works except the display, which only shows the Push logo.

Is it possible that a Push 2 firmware update for the latest Ableton beta 9.7 is the cause of this?

Are you running the required Push2Display application? Does it show an error? Have you read the installation description on the Wiki and watched my tutorial videos?
