UVI's Toy Museum cost the same, has less GB content and is even more in a niche f.e.
Una Corda alone costs 149€.
I payed 259€ for a single Cello etc.
I really don't think it's expensive for 349€ or 399$...even not close to expensive.
The Omnisphere integration makes it really interesting.

not sure why it matters who does think it is and who doesn't. It's all relative.

So just put "It's all relative" above most KVR threads and we can close them all :hihi:
It also doesn't matter who is dissapointed or not....

This, big time - Omnisphere is huge with the christians, they'll lap this up.
RMX, not so much, hence it being the neglected bug-fest that it is.

Kind of makes Rapture Session look professional

And are relations with Roland now so strained that Big Eric can't even mention their name in the product description :o

In 1987, shortly after they discontinued the Rhodes product line, Fender sold the Rhodes brand name to a well-known Japanese manufacturer where Spectrasonics President Eric Persing was Chief Sound Designer. Two years later, the Japanese company released the MK-80 – a digital “re-imagining” of the electro-mechanical Rhodes
Iirc, Roland, very gracefully, gave back to Harold Rhodes the opportunity to use it's own name again, some years after they acquired it from CBS (? iirc). Maybe a reason why Spectrasonics are also restrained to use the former name ?

Anyway, afaics, nothing will give you a Key action similar to playing the real instruments ( you would need special controlers for that, because the hammers mechanics/Keybed and resonators concepts are a lot for the differences between a Rhodes and a Wurli for example)

Also, strict sampling means no modelling of simple parameters like the springs on the tines for example ( MKII) , meaning that you'll never get instruments as expressive, and/or customisable, as the physical counterparts) Then, even if similar offers are already present on the market, some possibly better, or not, it will give the opportunity to *real keyboardists* ( Sorry for the term, but who else would want to play Ray Charles intro on the Wurli, or Superstition on the clavinet ? ) to have a 'good overall quality package' with everything in the same place, and no need to manage a lot of different libraries sampler -dependant. Sometimes, fast is just good for inspiration, or also time is money if you're working on a pro project. So I guess there's a market for this package ( To wich I possibly belong if I like the instruments and find them interesting and pleasurable to play)

Wow, quite a bit of drama here.

Well, it wasn't what I was expecting but the pretty obvious quality in the sampled package is worth celebrating in my opinion. I'm not entirely sure it's a product for me but I do love me a good piano.. and boy does that C7 sound good.

However, for quite a bit less I can get the Ravenscroft 275.. but I have to say the Spectrasonics C7 may be more to my liking.

349 euros? A bit on the steep side for me considering I'd most likely not use everything but I suspect as an Omnisphere 2 owner it may give me quite a bit of more use than one would think.
