Hello again Mutools.
Looked at the MuLab doc but can't find an answer.
My situation is that I am testing MuLab 7 (Free) on my 15 year old Windows XP pc. And it works fine, if a little slow.
Soon I'm going to invest in a new Windows 7 pc.
Should I wait until I have my new pc before buying the full version of MuLab 7 ?
Or can I buy it now and install it on my decrepit XP pc; then later install it on my new Windows 7 pc ?
Would MuLab's registration process allow that ?
I don't want any trouble installing MuLab on my new pc, so I'm erring on the side of caution i.e And thinking I might wait until I have my new pc.
I'm sure I'm not the only person to quander this, so your advice would be most appreciated.
Many thanks.
Is MuLab transferable across old/new computers

MuLab is portable and using key file for licensing (so everything resides inside that folder/directory), you would just need to transfer your whole MuLab directory/folder to your new machine, that's it.
You can even carry MuLab with you on USB stick and run it on any PC you can plug it on, awesome thing.

This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here?

Indeed it's transferrable. General note: Please note that you're only allowed to use your personal user key on 2 of your computers. Remove it from old computers or purchase extra user keys if necessary. Thanks for your understanding. All financial support goes to further R&D and building new improved versions!

Thank you both Zexila & Mutools for such clear and reassuring information.
I really love that MuLab is stored in it's own folder and not installed all over my computer.
I'm also looking forward in getting into Mux. The idea of being able to create my own synths & fx is very exciting.
And would be so much more expensive in other daws I could name.
Bravo Mutools for producing such a wonderful daw at such a reasonable price.
The more I play with it, the more I understand it and love it.
MuLabs is definately going to be installed on my new pc
