These are missing for me after updating.
I'm just loading Ableton Live 9 and all Kontakt VSTi DLLs are being rescanned, which means they have been updated.

By the way, I used the traditional install method via the Service Center.
To update KONTAKT, open Native Access and select KONTAKT in the 'Available Updates' tab. Native Access will notify you when KONTAKT is updated.

If you prefer to update KONTAKT using Service Center, open Service Center, click on the Updates tab, select KONTAKT 5.6, and click ‘Download’. Once your download is complete, run the KONTAKT 5.6 update Installer. Once installed, your KONTAKT 5.6 software will be ready for use.
I've update kontakt through the Service Center and installed through the same app, I opened Ableton and i rescan the plugins and tells me that kontakt can not be open because it's disabled/not activated. anyone know how I can resolve this?

UI is resizable, which is a good thing. GUI could have used some bright colors.

I'm on Windows 7. Don't know about you.

The first thing I do when something like that happens is to remove the dll (actually 3 x dlls for Kontakt) from the Plugin folder.
Next, open Live.
Close Live.
Put dlls back in Plugin Folder.
Open Live. It should rescan your Kontakt dlls.

Alternatively, you could reset and rescan all of your Plugins which could take a lot longer.

Not entirely sure what error you're getting. Kontakt not activated sounds like a missing activation code.

If you're on MAC I have no idea what the problem might be. Maybe someone else can offer advice.

with Native Access it's got it's own settings for the vst folders - ignores what was previously set in service centre. On windows that defaulted to "c:\program files\native instruments\vstplugins 64 bit" and "c:\program files (x86)\native instruments\vstplugins"- I had to change it to where my daw was looking (or I guess I could have added it to the vst search path)

I can't believe it. My entire Kontakt Database Update is completed. That was very quick compaired to how long it usually takes. I have a lot of Libraries. Great. :)

Thanks i've request support on the NI website, i've rescan all the plugins and now Kontakt is missing form the VSTs but it's in, so i do knot why Ableton didn't recognize it or open it. Thanks anyway

No worries. I hope you get sorted out soon.

2d makes my eyes ache. For real. I hope it's a short-lived fashion.
It's one of the reasons I couldn't stick with Win10 (the other being Cubase's instability - but that's for another thread).

So they can show graphic charts demonstrating which countries have most NI-users in board meetings.

60s Drummer is working here now. I like how the instrument names (drums) are being displayed at the bottom of the GUI. That's useful.

Lot of company doesn't seams to care about retina/4K display.

Is it that much work to have more defined graphics?

When your program is more than 10 years old and is using a very old graphics framework, it can be a helluva lot of work, indeed.

That feature was implemented back with Kontakt 5.4, it's not 5.6 specific. Also the instrument needs to be scripted to take advantage of that.
