Where did the Purge button for the Multi go? - I had to go through and do each instrument I had in K5.... Also did not fix the issue I'm having with K5 NOT recognizing Fable's Broadway Big Band Library.... (It's looking for an nicnt file... I can still go to the Load button and load them - but it adds steps...)

My Standalone updated... but the plugin in Live did not. Tried everything except uninstalling. It would take me a week to reinstall all my libraries I Really don't want to go that route. Anyone else have this issue?

Is Live looking for the DLL, AU or VST file in a different folder to where the NI installer has put it?novason wrote:My Standalone updated... but the plugin in Live did not. Looks good! But what I really want to know is... is it more CPU optimised?
And what the hell is Native Access?
Do I need it? I just use the Service Center - which is cool but everytime I open it, it tells me a Reaktor 5 Japanese Manual is available... and even if I tell it to download it, it comes back as available the next time I open the damn app

Installed via Service Center - totally painless. All dll's and standalone were updated so all existing shortcuts went to the new version automatically. NI's whole updating system is so friendly
As someone who uses Adobe Creative Cloud all day every day, I am a fan of flat, vectorial-based interfaces. So I like the new look Kontakt! It's modern and classy. Brings it more inline with Reaktor, Maschine etc.
It might just be the placebo effect but I feel like it's fast loading too?

Unfortunately it was removed. I am also not happy with that change.greighut wrote:Where did the Purge button for the Multi go? - I had to go through and do each instrument I had in K5.... I get that too - with a couple of Japanese manuals, and a GPO update from about 2008it tells me a Reaktor 5 Japanese Manual is available... and even if I tell it to download it, it comes back as available the next time I open the damn app

I've spent about 5 hours today trying to install KB2999226 update for win 8.1
because from now NI builds binaries using Windows 10 runtimes
Now Cubase 8 Pro/Ableton 9 can correctly scan and load Kontakt 5.6

For first, you can use a multiscript that's available along with Kontakt. For second, that is not quite possible especially if keyswitches are scripted - Kontakt has no way of knowing which keys to hide in that case.Elektronisch wrote:Simple hands-on Transpose & Key switch disable buttons for each instrument. Been running Kontakt for a long time and this is the first time an installation is completely effed up. Will have to contact support but trying to run it throws up a variety of missing file errors.

I prefer Service Center too as I can download the updates to the desktop, copy them to my backup server and then install them. Native Access starts the install right after download so I have to be quick.MogwaiBoy wrote:And what the hell is Native Access?Do I need it? I just use the Service Center
But the first time I ran NA it showed me an update for Reaktor 6 that SC didn't.
