Nope, still public beta, pretty much exactly since a year ;-)
You can download it and run it, but it's not "out" because it's technically a beta? That's pretty pharisaical.

Anyway, in light of this thread's trajectory, I find this old post from Ruben at LD to be doubly :hihi:

Lennard (yes...Lennard) didn't even hear of Hive until the past few weeks. I can assure you he has respect for Urs, but he's in no way the great inspirer for Lennard to start programming again.

It is not a beta, they just haven't updated their website in a while.

I happen to respect the hell out of Urs' balls to put himself out there. He always backs it up. People who push limits expect better and I appreciate it. He's been nothing but helpful and open about his products and his philosophies. Even if it's not what you want to hear. Sorry if you got your feelings hurt, I don't think anyone was trying to hurt your feelings.

And You know this for sure, because... ? Man, speak for Yourself, will You?
Urs himself said it:
"That's why I offer help with copy protection to other developers for free, it's in my own interest if their stuff isn't cracked. But even though it was suggested to Lennar several times in forums, no-one has ever contacted us yet. I hope they do the right thing and invest into a good protection."
Indeed. And how is this paternising in any way? Isn't it obvious that Sylenth has been cracked in the past and thus there's a certain, hmm, danger(?) that it'll happen again? What's wrong with offering help in that respect?

I think only a person with very malicious intentions would see something bad in that. Which I think is a recurring feeling with your posts.

Cool, I didn't know that, even though it strikes me as very odd...

Why? On the download page v3 is the only one offered. That would not be the case if it were a beta. There would also be a last robust version and maybe a warning regarding the beta.
I used to have it, there was nothing beta about it, nor in the mail I got from them.

It doesn't strike you as odd when a software company forgets (or decision its based on) to put a news item for a newly released piece of software on the news section of their homepage...?

Well, because you seem to think that he needs your help. But he surely doesn't.

Malicious intentions? What is malicious about pointing out that you come across as a bit arrogant to me? My intention is simply to defend LD, who obviously has better things to do than being on KVR.

Regarding Hive's gui, I don't think it's great at all, it looks cold and
not like hardware, more like from some Sci-Fi movie. Not to mention ergonomics.

I agree, they should update their site. The last news-flash was on September 9, 2015.
:?

I don't think they care much about their site, the last news item seems to be the Mac version, the new Windows version is not even mentioned, although it came out after the Mac version.
I get the impression that LD is a much smaller project and not a real company like U-he.

Urs didn't say that. You are only projecting your own ugly bias onto his statement.

I think you are wrong there.
And what bias? I bought both synths - and sold both...

I don't know why, but I can't stop thinking of Sylenth1 as the "Kryptonite" for Urs!
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

My statement was directed towards Hive's user interface concept, not its visual representation. Had you read the whole thread since it was resurrected the other day you'd know that it was already established that I didn't find the looks that great either. But I guess you conveniently omitted that.
