Awhile ago I paid something like $99 for the expanded version, and I still think that was a bargain. Great little instrument provides instant inspiration (which is what you want great instruments to do). Sad that it is no longer being developed, but if you don't already have it, do yourself a favor and check it out.Nocturnal909 wrote:Okay the price went back to 99 bucks for expanded but its showing 20 bucks if you look for it on the search page then changes to 99 when you click on it. It was not like this last night. I thought this 20 bucks deal ends tonight at Sept 16?Uncle E wrote:I'm asking iZotope about it now. Can anyone comment on the new iZotope freebie? I just got my links through Sweetwater and I'm still not sure what this thing is.
Is it an older, discontinued product? Is it new and developed just to have a loss-leader giveaway? Is it useful?
Just wondering.
Cheers

I've seen this said about BreakTweaker a few times now. Is this direct from iZotope or an assumption due to lack of updates?BERFAB wrote:Sad that it is no longer being developed

I can't recall where I read it, but I believe that this was a one-off collaboration with BT. When iZotope last updated their product line, BreakTweaker was left out of the mix and put on very heavy discount, where it remains (even at $99, this is still a big discount). BreakTweaker has a lot of innovative features and still had a lot of room for more in the right hands. Someone else might confirm whether this is officially from iZotope.telecharge wrote:I've seen this said about BreakTweaker a few times now. I'm already a print computer music subscriber, but that was too tempting to pass up getting future music and taking a punt on electronic musician.bharris22 wrote:Use coupon code FRESH40 at zinio for 40% off for the next two days. Brings a one-year subscription to Computer Music down to $21.60.

It's new, developed as a promotional product. You'll find out why in a few weeks. It's neat and easy to use, pretty subtle but use it across your entire mix and you'll get the full benefit of it.BERFAB wrote:Is it an older, discontinued product? Years ago, iZotope developed BreakTweaker and Stutter Edit custom for BT and he used them to create the glitchy effects he was famous for. He was making sounds that no one else could make, it wasn't the first time anyone had done glitchy IDM but he took it to a whole other level using this software.BERFAB wrote:I can't recall where I read it, but I believe that this was a one-off collaboration with BT.
