Switch the auto mute on. :tu:
(Service panel, bottom left.)

EDIT:
I ran a sine at -60dB through Satin and turned interface volume as well as the channel and master faders up something rotten. Hiss, Asperity and Bias all set to far left. Satin on or off, no perceivable difference.

With Hiss and Asperity down to -120, even without auto mute and Bias left, there's nothing to hear while Satin's input is silent.
Cheers

So like all others say, turn down hiss, turn down asperity, activate "auto mute", and/or also use the "Compander" section to further reduve noise, like I explained before. There's no reason not to use it. Set both encoder and decoder to "UHX Type I" which has a very linear frequency response (says the manual) and you have much less noise, another 30dB lower than before.

Satin gives you various tools to turn down all noise to practically nothing, so use them :)

You can even click "bypass tape", then you're left with the recording circuits and the compander circuits. If that's an option for you.

Re-reading this, I wonder if the noise being referred to is u-He's demo noise?

Nope, not in the audio file he posted.

Not sure and Sascha is not in the office today.

Have you tried lowering Asperity to 0.00?

I will try Asperaty tomorow.

I noticed a strange thing.
If you look at screen shot the track on which is Satin says about -60dB while master track shows no sound and Spectrum Analizer inserted on Master track shows noise about -120dB.

Maybe this some kind of bug goin on in Studio One with Satin?
Did you tried Satin in Studio One v3 Pro?

People who sugest me to use auto mute or automation in DAW i hear you. But i would like to awoid that if possible. Because i make dynamic music and in some cases in some parts of song noise -60dB can be noticed in mix. So if possible i would like to fix this issue.

I did not have such problem with Slate Digital VTM so i think something strange goin on with Uhe Satin or with Studio One or both. Or there is somewhere my mistake.

Maybe you should try the advice many people have given you before you start describing features as bugs?

I'm not a S1 user but this could really be the reason. Hey chilly7, did you try in another host?

Dunno why anyone is arguing against muting noise. Tape machines don't make noise when they aren't playing.

Satin is a fun and great sounding plugin. There's really no need to defend that. However, with a big session full of satin instances regardless of automute, noise adds up and is annoyingly audible.

We asked in beta for this and eventually they added the automute. It wasn't enough for many users in my circle (which does include people that make CDs :P), but we gave up because disagreeing with U-He is like taking on Sparta at the Hot Gates.

To OP: They aren't going to do it so stop trying. You can always put a gate on the master or groups and automate them.

Cheers! -robo
