How to make playhead/cursor stay in position when scrolling horizontally?

Hi.
What's up with the playhead when you scroll? The behaviour is correct only if you scroll with the horizontal scroll bar (playhead stays where you left it) but if you scroll either with mousewheel plus shift or by dragging the timeline, the playhead will "follow" you (this is all with the Scroll option at the lower right turned off, otherwise not even the scrollbar method works). I don't want this, I would like to be able to scroll horizontally with the mousewheel+shift without dragging the playhead at the same time.
Does anyone know how to do this?
I'm using Tracktion Version 5.4.3 (Built: 14 January 2015) (64-bit) on Ubuntu. Thank you

We added some more options for controlling this behaviour in T7.
There's now an option to "Keep cursor on screen" which is what I think you want to disable.

Good to hear! Is there a changelog file/article/page where this is documented?

It's also covered in Guide to Tracktion T7 on starting page 343.
