Left click on menu buttons not working (at least on Mac OS)

Hi,

I've recently upgraded to T7 (from T3!) and am really impressed by the significant leap forward from previous versions and the genuinely original thinking of the team to add features not seen before on other DAWs. Really enjoying getting to understand this unique DAW all over again.

Just one quick question I wanted to ask as it's been bugging me ever since I started trialing Tracktion again. On the buttons that reveal sub-menus (like most of the buttons in the "Menu" panel, like Save, Import, Timecode, Options, etc.) clicking with the left mouse button doesn't reveal the menu (well actually it does, for a very brief period of time before disappearing again) and you seem to have to always do a right-click to get the menu to open.

Is this by design, or indeed is it not supposed to happen (I'm running on Mac, by the way - is this the same on Windows?) I was hoping to find an option to configure this somewhere, because it seems that a left-click should have the exact same behaviour (rather than not doing anything useful on such buttons) and I'm forever clicking and then realising I need to right-click instead.

On further investigation it certainly seems like it's a bug, because if you minimise the transport bar to the small version (as introduced in T7 I believe) and then click the menu button so that the menu popup appears, left-clicking on any of the buttons (e.g. Save) works fine and the relevant sub-menu appears. Reverting back to the original/standard/non-minimised transport view and the Save button once again only responds to a right-click rather than a left-click.

Is anyone else seeing this behaviour on a Mac?

OK, this has now been resolved with the help of the Tracktion team. Turned out it was due to an application I had installed called PopClip. As soon as I closed this application Tracktion's menu handling worked fine. So PopClip was doing something that interfered in some way. It turns out there's an "exception list" in PopClip and I added T7 to that and now all is working fine.
