Yes?
seems a roll of the dice. i'd not put a stable system at risk but whatever.. some people want that improved notification center or whatever is in sierra. shrug.

fingers crossed for early adopters. good luck!

Frankly, i believe people exaggerate a bit these days. Apple and Microsoft have thousands of testers who test the new system on all kinds of different hardware combinations. And, especially in the case of Apple who have custom build machines for their OS, it shouldn't be like "rolling dice" really. If you happen to read the "NEWEST MAJOR BUG IN IOS" for example, then you will, if you read on, more and more realize that it's rather a case of "Happens on a few devices, when you do this and this and that". I don't really see where major OS's have disastrous bugs, even when they're fresh on the market.

This comes from someone who installed Windows 10 on two machines, two months after release. Yes, there were a couple of bugs, actually more than i expect, and i'm used to from Microsoft, but, nothing major really. Anyway, your question whether one should install a new OS on one day on his production machine is a valid one nonetheless. Might be worth to at least think about doing so.

You're looking at it from the wrong angle. It's not about "will my computer break down", but rather about "will my software and hardware, that currently works well, continue to work".

iLok has had trouble with new operating system versions in the past, currently other plugin devs are having evil issues with their AU versions under Sierra, and let's not ignore that nice E-Mail from NI that I received today. Telling me something like "Hey, we're so glad that your Maschine will still work under Sierra. But these 10 NI hardware products will not." Bam, 10 NI hardware products gone and lost after updating to Sierra. For I don't know how many (ten?) thousands of potential OSX upgrading NI hardware owners. Would've been nice to know that a bit earlier, right?

So yeah. It's not about "will my computer crash" or "will there be bugs". It's about "will I actually be able to still work".
Reaper user? Get my free JSFX plug-ins, also available via ReaPack extension.

Oh, yeah, i forgot we're talking about MacOS here. So, you're probably right. :P

Yes, and these "testers" are called "end users" :hihi:
I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies.

All my U-he stuff works fine so far but macOS Sierra itself gives me some bad feelings....

If they gift me Uhe products i may be able to test if they work fine with my system on Sierre. :D

P.s. I just have installed it on my computer.

My macbook gets now so hot, even when it does nothing?!?! I mean winter is coming here so it's not a bug it's a feature eh'
What gives me headache is also is the change that the option to allow apps downloaded from “Anywhere” has disappeared.
I remember i needed it a few times for download plug-ins/demos. Now Apple doesn't allow me that?!?
Mmhhhhhhh...... :borg:
