Is it allowed to sell patches made from scratch for u-he TyrellN6?

See question above! I am not sure, the license text says:

"You may not
[...]- gain profit (financially, publicity or any other) from it other than by the music you create with it
[...]"

Are patches made entirely from scratch part of this or is it not allowed to sell them?

I think that implies to patches, yes. All patch banks that I saw for Tyrell are free, not paid for.

The u-he support yesterday wrote me back as I asked for the tal noise maker, and they said it would be okay.
I asked if it applies on the TyrellN6 too, waiting for reply now :)

Yes, we're okay with it :)

And Foxedge, I can't see any email from you in our support system, which email address did you send it to?

I sent it to support@tal-software.com!

Edit: woops, it's not u-he I just realised lol.
How could I mix this up :dog:

I must have been very distracted yesterday..
asking them for tyrelln6 too is probably the reason why they didn't answer yet :hyper:
I really have to laugh now.

Well thanks for your reply here!! :) :)

The question is, does it make sense. I mean, 1. it's a free synth, and people who use free synths probably will be rather reluctant to pay for presets, and 2. it's a pretty simple synth in terms of the architecture, which makes it easy to program yourself. Of course, it's your own decision, just thought i'd point out arguments which IMO make it a bit difficult to sell presets for a free synth.

I own Dune II and wanted to create a soundbank for it, but then I thought creating a soundbank for a synthesizer that everyone have access to is better than for a particular one. And especially for synthwave maybe the sound of some free synthesizers add something to the vintage-feeling. (At least Dune 2 sounds very modern.)

And I rather thought of people coming across the soundbank and if they like it but don't own TyrellN6, they don't have to spend additional money - just buy the bank and download it. I guess you will find free banks for any synthesizer out there. :)

Fair enough. And good luck with the soundbank. :tu:
