Tried it in my DAW. :)
Maybe there is some hidden setting (or some nonhidden but named differently) on the second page...

Yes, this is annoying.

Diva - Devine Quality - Polyphonic Mode - Multicore On - 8%
The Legend - 8%
The Legend does not use multiple cores - DUNE 2 does, but not The Legend. Legend is vectorized using SSE, so it does not tax the other cores at all. Hence a comparison is only meaningful when turning off multi-core processing.

Tried it? By doing what? How exactly did you measure this? What did you use?

From reading the posts by brok and synapse, i think its safe to say they spent a lot of time getting the envelopes correct to the reference hardware.

Come again ....?
If you want to see the dc output of an envelope you' ll have to route the envelope to an audio output and record it or an osciloscope .
Reaktor can do this ,nordmodular..;hec every modular ..
You can't route the 'legends' envelope directly to an output .....so you can't possiby see the adsr curve .
If you're saying ' I tested this in my daw '....I have hard time believing this.

It would be easy to implement a clipper upon the adsr ..

Maybe he simply heard that that behavior is missing. After all, if that behavior could not be heard, nobody would miss it.

The amp envelope clips, yes.

More interesting is the filter envelope, however. It injects a jolt of extra energy that causes that "snappy" sound, so it's not a standard ADSR. I became somewhat obsessed with that feature, every time I look at some vintage synth I hadn't checked out before, the first thing I look for is what the filter envelope does ;)

Here's an add on pack of 32 patches for The Legend:

Teksonik Legend Add On Pack 01

Hope somebody finds them useful or at least amusing. :)

Richard, Have you submitted The Legend for the KVR database ? We can't add patches here for it until it's added to the database. :)

So, with the amount of cpu it is using, you could run two such simulations for 8 voices... or 3 for 12 voices, etc. The computer can handle it.
Well, no. Not the way i understood it.
The key idea in The Legend is to process large parts of the voices, in particular the CPU-demanding VCF and VCA, entirely in parallel using SSE. Since SSE does 4 things in parallel, this means 4 voices poly or unison can be computed in parallel.
Running multiple instances is another thing.
Massive has always done the 4 voices together as well... doesn't stop having more than 4 voices.

Thanks, I was looking in the wrong area. It wasn't listed in the Banks and Patches area because no one had uploaded any patches yet. I've uploaded this add on pack.

Posts have been coming so quickly I think my previous question got lost... can Legend when in unison, modulate per voice?

(Okay, I could download the demo and try but if someone can answer...)

What would you like to modulate per voice ?

It doesn't seem like it, modulation is rather basic... I was just looking for a control to set the LFO speed, didn't find any...
