Melda saturation - is it the same everywhere, or can it be programmed/swapped between plugs?

Hi - Is "saturation" swappable between plugs, or even modifiable? Is it different between plugs?

The question came to mind because of how different each comp in MTurboComp sounded. Assuming the math parts of the comp are clean, does that mean it's the saturation that makes them sound different?

Sorry for the newb questions!

Thx -

The Saturation is the same for all the comps, however as the saturation has so many options it can sound vastly different. there are 2 saturators in MTurboComp one on the input and the other on the output. The character of each of the compressors comes from a combination of the saturation and the behaviour. In my opinion saturation plays less of a role in making the comps sound different from each other than the behaviour. This is why MTurboComp was built with 4 followers and 4 processors. The way that a compressor detects and measures a signal and then the way that signal is processed makes up the majority of the compressors sound character.
You can copy saturation setting between presets and plugins. Just use the little copy and paste buttons next to the enable button. but be careful as the saturation is meant to compliment the other settings. combinations of different comps could be very loud.

Thanks jmg8, understood! You are a great teacher of concepts, I hope others have a chance to benefit from your talent above and beyond this forum!
