Does anyone have any experience with the Infinite Player? Can the sounds from this set be used outside of the player?

No.

I did a mistake some time ago, buying an expansion without reading the small print about it needing the Infinite player. I can't use it without the Infinite Player, so either I need to buy the Infinite Player or see that as lost money

I have so far decided to see it as lost money and a lesson learnt

WTF???? I'm not that kind of person who gets upset easily, and I actually have a favor for gallows humor most of the time, but this is too much for me. People have already died because of that hurricane, maybe more will still die, thousands have lost or will be loosing their homes, etc. 'Honoring' this with a sale has nothing to do with humor IMO. It's stupid, dismissive, and so far from common sense that I actually cannot believe esoundz did this.

No one admits they get upset easily. Some people just don't like dark humor. In this case, I'd recommend against watching the young doctor's notebook or reading anything by Chuck Palahniuk.

I bought the 'Gold' package with Infinity Player during one of their many '90% off sales'. It has its pros and cons, but I ultimately found the sounds and the process of them to be dated and therefore due to it being a NFR purchase, as 'lost money'. I never use it for anything except as a reminder to not fall for every sale that comes along.

Like Zero-G they deliver, but seems their bread and butter is to do sales on their old stuff

Don't know if they make new stuff, just sell their old stuff.

Thanks everyone. I may just try it out. I have a lot of old refills that still work with Reason 9, but the fact their website only says good for Reason 3 and 4 made me a little nervous that maybe they don't actually deliver.

Truthfully, I wonder it if is not so much humor, but we need some money to buy plywood for our windows.

Digital product you own doesn't really have much of a cost, especially when it is older and probably already paid for its initial costs. So a sale to raise month to cover unexpected costs is understandable.
