T7--Bug--Plugin Rack Automation

Hi,
I've reported the following bug on Tracktion's Zendesk and am reiterating here, to ensure perusal.

i'm trying to automate parameters of plugins within the Plugin Rack.
Dragging a track's "A" icon to a rack-enclosed plugin opens an associated parameter list and a selection can be made. The appropriate automation curve is made visible on the timeline and i'm able to edit it. Upon playback, however, the parameter modulation fails to enact. This is true of native Tracktion plugins and VST plugins. Oddly, when playback is paused/stopped, dragging the play cursor across the timeline does enact parameter modulation. I've ensured that 'Automation read' mode is engaged, on the transport panel. As an aside, 'Automation write' mode works as expected. If there's another setting that's relevant to this function, then i'd be grateful for advice.

Also, I love the minimised main panel, now a sleek ribbon. I would love if there was a keyboard shortcut to call the Properties panel though, when using the ribbon. It would feel more efficient than clicking the wrench icon. i'm aware that said panel can be pinned to stay open, but a keyboard shortcut to toggle its visibility would be appreciated.
