Harmonics don't work in mono mode? I was going to make a tonic + 7th sliding bass with mps by using harmonics from advanced options, but apparently it isn't possible. Of course I can do it by using 2 oscillators but I'd like to know, why not the way I was going to do it first? :P

Which mono mode were you trying to use? For what you described, I would imagine that mono (toggle + attack) would suit your needs. And don't forget to set up your glide under the advanced settings! I tried it using the Tonic and the third harmonic (which is an octave and a 5th above the Tonic [7 semitones]) and it worked quite nicely here.

Good luck~

Nope. Doesn't work.

OK, I'll try step-by-step to show you what I did, that way you can tell me where I misunderstood what you are trying to do.

1. Open MPS to Default. Make sure that the Filter is NOT active to prevent any filtering before I need it.
2. Select OSC 1 and raise the 3rd harmonic up all of the way. It now sounds like 2 sine waves that are an octave and a 5th apart.
3. Select the Globals tab and choose Monophonic (toggle + attack) so that each note plays on its own but still sounds like a unique note during hammer-on/ pull-off playing.
4. Select Advanced Settings and enable Glide for note sliding.

That was all that I did. Where did I make the mistake? I'm scratching my head here and thinking that I have no idea what kind of sound that you are looking for but I want to be able to create it now!

I think what Lejurai is talking about the Harmony tab in the Advanced settings menu.

EDIT: in which case use polythonic mode and limit to mono input within your daw (or don't)

Ohhh OK. That all makes sense then. I think I saw someplace that the Harmony feature is disabled when using mono because things are no longer mono?
You can get around that limitation by using the Harmonizer in the Effects!

Hope that helps.

Yes, basically the harmonies are simply following the original notes, it's "like you would play them", so only the first note is audible in monophonic modes of course. To do what you want, simply put another instance of MPowerSynth inside MPowerSynth's effect section ;).
