I'm on Mac running MuLab 5.5.1 (I know, I'm a little old )
I have a mic plugged in via USB. I'm wondering how I can directly record into MuLab with this mic?

Try making an aggregate device in MacOS' Audio MIDI Setup. For more info on MacOS' aggregate device, please search the web for "aggregate device".
