KvR and Safari just don't get along

This only seems to happen with Safari and only with my new Logithech wireless mouse but at KvR I'm experiencing a weird issue where the click target is offset when browsing the forums using the list on the right - eg if I want to click on the 'Latest posts' I have to position the mouse further down and slightly to the right, otherwise I end up getting Reviews or Deals open instead. Only happens from the front page.

OK I'm just going to have to stop using Safari for KvR - it's not just this strange mouse offset behaviour but also it always takes 10 times longer to load in Safari on Mac than any other browser. KvR doesn't seem to like Safari for some reason.
