VST windows can still get so far north that they can no longer be moved, minimized etc. because their title bar is completely off the monitor.

This happened to me almost straight away (as new user). Found a simple solution: I made a keyboard shortcut for "move to top left". Just make sure stuck window is in focus, press the key and bob's-your-uncle....window bar is accessible again.

Hi,

Seems that this version of Mulab isn't compatible with OSX Sierra;

- Clean install of OSX Sierra 10.12.0, on macbook retina 2015.
- I downloaded the mac version, placed the uncompressed folder into Applications.
- I right mouse click on Application icon and choose "Open"
- It then only shows alittle piece of graphic on the screen.

I have Sierra and MuLab 7.1.28 is working fine. You have to follow the instructions for a full
installation and not just a delta.

Surely, this is the best solution and it is also very useful when working in the modular area with many modules.

I am not a retard ok ?:

I dowloaded the FULL installer, not the delta patch.
i unzipped it.
I renamed the folder that came out of the zip, placed that folder in Applications.
I opened Mulab by right clicking the mulab icon inside that folder and choose "Open"
No luck.
No other instructions on Mulab site concerning installment on osx than what i did exactly, afaik. :evil:

Try the same steps without renaming the folder,unzip the M7.1.27 package and place in your app folder the "MuLab 64 Bit" folder,maybe this helps.

Unfortunately it is the only tip that came to my mind, I'm only on windows :(

So what happened then? Did you get an error or...?

Please also do this:

* Open the Mac Console
* Then try launching MuLab
* Now in the Mac Console you should see a bunch of messages coming from MuLab. Maybe you have to switch the Mac Console view (at the left side) to show the log messages.
* If MuLab doesn't launch but you see the log messages, pls copy-paste those log messages here or in an email to me. Thx.

It can be a matter of which unzipper is used. I have just redone the download of mulab-7-1-28-osx64.zip and its decompression using Stuffit Expander and it works fine on Sierra.

I recently also installed M7.1 on a Sierra machine, worked fine there as well. Hopefully the Console log messages will reveal the reason.

@ Antoniaz : You nailed it !

I decompressed the .zip file with Entropy, instead of Archive Utility (default decompress utility on osx),dragged its contents to a new folder, launched Mulab: works.
Still odd that it doesn't work with unzipping through Archive Utility ; shouldn't happen.

check properties on the mulab.executable, it might be marked for not executing as program
