Awesome news. :)

your head is safe for a couple months... but then watch out!

some days I just really wish i could share the stuff we are working on while we are working on it, but in general I can say we are going A LOT farther with KS and we have been making great progress... :tu:
Concerning the sharing part, do you sign NDAs amongst each other?

For the post processing of Kaleidoscope files, finding this new offering useful as a shaping and mixing tool for problematic resonances:

https://oeksound.com/soothe/

I often bounce my Kaleidoscope sessions 'solo' for future use, and like to capture their full spectrum during those sessions but, need to dampen specific resonances/upper frequencies when in actual mixes with other elements,

'Soothe' seems unique in several functions and given it's automatic detection of resonances, quite quick to get results while retaining the original spectral character (unlike other approaches I have experimented with for this specific problem).

Hi guys,

We completed our move to a new web store platform in the past few days. Go here:

http://www.designersound.com

Sign in from the link in the upper right. Use your previous logon-credentials.

If you don't remember your password you can click on the "Register" link, and this will bring you to a dedicated sign-in page, where there is a "Forgotten Password" link.

Once logged on select "My Downloads" from the same menu. On this page you will find all of your product SNs as well as download links to current installers (and legacy installers). This page is now your "one-stop" location for all installation needs. We hope it proves to be much more convenient than our previous process. Whenever we have new updates all you need to do is to go to this page and download the latest. No special orders or coupon codes. You even have access to all the legacy versions as well in case you need to install on older machines etc.

Let me know your feedback on this new area, and/or the store in general, and let me know if you have additional questions...

NOTE: To celebrate the launch of the new store there is currently a 50% off Galbanum products sale, including those relevant to KS, and also including our MetaSynth bundle that includes U&I Software's MetaSynth for anyone who might be interested in it to compliment KS. (2CAudio products themselves are not part of the sale, as we had a summer sale recently.)

And if you are interested the relationship between 2CAudio, Galbanum and Designer Sound is simple:

2CAudio makes software.

Galbanum makes content.

Designer Sound does not make anything. It sells, markets, and distributes 2CAudio Software and Galbanum Content, as well as products from other partners we are proud to work with. :tu:

the website looks great. user account area is much simpler. makes more sense. thanks!

edit: also is there a good way to get all the Galbanum alchemy waves into the Apple version of Alchemy? i know there's a one at a time sort of thing to do but if there's a mass import/drag and drop method please inform as i've not investigated enough to sort it out. :)

As far as I am currently aware, it is not possible. I've asked Apple many times and did not ever get a response. So the Alchemy format works only in the 1.x version of Alchemy AFAIK.

One question : is this one stop for everything now, or will we still need/want to access the 2CAudio web page ?

UPDATE: A closer read of your post reveals that it does use the "one stop" concept so I guess that answers my question  :tu:

Would it be possible to add midi learn to Kaleidoscope (and to the reverb plug-ins too) in the future too?
At least for the dry, wet and white noise sliders.
Then i would like to know if it is multi-touch ready on windows 10.
So could i use 2-3 sliders at the same time in a live record on a multi-touch screen or will it focus on one parameter only?
Since i don´t expect an iPad app from 2caudio anytime soon (i can dream :D ...but i can understand that of course) i would like to buy me an Asus Transformer 3 pro (or an surface pro 5 if that comes...or similar) for such things.
If not it would be nice one day to have.
Of course i hope one day that i could paint my own "pictures" inside Kaleidoscope via a pen(cil) or so.
Then i must say again that Kaleidoscope (especially combined with B2) is just already head exploding good. It´s always good for a deep drift in other spheres.
It`s not only the greatest thing on earth (and maybe more  ) for deep ambient stuff, it also helps me to calm down in bad moments. Thank you for that.
I think i still don´t understand the half of it after many months but that is already mind blowing.
Like you say....it´s a trip! :)

In general enhancing "performance controls" such as MIDI control, smooth parameter automation, etc. is certainly on our wishlist. No ETA quite yet. In general KS development went something like this:

1) Dream up the idea/features starting around 2009-2010
2) struggle several years to implement half of the original features or so
3) release 1.0
4) discover 1.0 CPU usage was generally unrealistic for most users
5) spend another year effectively rewriting KS completely to optimize the 1.0 feature set as much as absolutely possible using pretty extreme techniques that required massive RnD
6) release the free 1.1 with MASSIVE performance improvements, which now make it realistic for any/all hardware including even the most part lower-powered laptops etc.

that is where we are publicly. Privately we are at:

7) implement the second half of the originally desried features and workflow functionality... (while retaining efficiency) with the goal of making it undeniably the coolest and most powerful sound-design tool out there.

following that release the next phase will be:

8 ) focus on performance elements/aspects

Your request fits into this stage. It will happen definitely. No ETA quite yet though.

Meanwhile lots of strong competitors have been closing in on our reverb crown, so we need to give that some deep attention too and re-solidify our lead. (IMHO we still sound the best even after several years, but it's gotten closer I admit, and others are currently leading in CPU-usage.) They should prepare for battle though, as we don't ever intend to give up our crown. :x

We want to hold two belts like Connor McGreggor:

http://www.ufc.com/event/ufc-205?id=

Our target belts are:

1) Reverb
2) Creative sound design

Let's get ready to rumble! :D

We have worked on some "image generation topics" in for the next update. You will be pleased I am quite sure, and your head will explode even more, trust me.

I will make videos after the next version so people fully understand it as best as possible. I delayed doing that until the next version as I wanted to be able to cover all of the my original vision for KS in these topics and some aspects have been changed/enhanced significantly which would made 1.0 videos confusing to the next version. (don't worry we retain preset compatibility etc.)

I'm sorry if this was covered at some point in the thread, but I've read most of the product treatises on the site and can't figure out if this thing can be played from a midi keyboard, or if it can only generate sound from tuning information within the plugin.
thanks

No Midi, root note changes can be automized in a DAW, but that will cause some clicking artifacts to occur (in most scenarios).

Has this been fixed? Because automation didn't work on windows10 in Live or Bitwig as of a few weeks ago. I've posted it a few times in this thread and someone else here had the same issue but we never got a reply. It seems to work on Mac/Logic but not Windows.

Uhh, thank´s for all the interesting answers.
Now i can´t wait to see it :o
But as you said in a post before, we might be some months away...ouch!
In the meantime, what software could you recommend to create my own images for Kaleidoscope? Since i slowly begin to get results i want :hihi: i would like to try it with my own images further.
