I'm wondering if you can specify a longer intro to a punch-in section. I've got the punch section specified between the red markers, and then I've got the purple cursor set back before that, but no matter where I put the purple cursor, it only goes back a little ways (I think based on the "count in" designation, which is at most two measures). And also, I can't hear any of what was recorded leading up to the punch section, at which point everything kicks in fine.
By the way, this is only the case for recording MIDI events through a VST synth. Audio seems fine.
Also, I would like to be able to use the purple cursor to designate the in and out of a punch, perhaps by right clicking and selecting something. It's a pain to have to drag those red markers all over the place.
Thanks,
Shaz

open up 'click track' from bottom left, turn it off; check also pre record count in and set to zero. You should then be able to start whenever you want, and hear what comes before.Shazbot wrote: no matter where I put the purple cursor, it only goes back a little ways (I think based on the "count in" designation, which is at most two measures). short cut keys i and o will put the red markers where your purple cursor is.Also, I would like to be able to use the purple cursor to designate the in and out of a punch, perhaps by right clicking and selecting something. It's a pain to have to drag those red markers all over the place.

Problem with that is that I need the click track still. See, what I'm using punch-in for in this case isn't to fix some notes in the middle of a track, but to continue on from the end of a previous section, and I'd prefer to keep the same instrument on the same track, as opposed to having to create and setup all new tracks for everything, just because I'm starting a new section. This works perfectly in Sonar, so hopefully this function can be improved in T2.Samosa wrote:open up 'click track' from bottom left, turn it off; check also pre record count in and set to zero. ah - well i think you may still be able to have the click track on, so long as you turn off the count in. Personally I just record several takes on different tracks and then piece them together. Not any more long winded as it sounds.

It is quite long-winded, though, when setting up every track for a multi-out VST.Samosa wrote:ah - well i think you may still be able to have the click track on, so long as you turn off the count in. I just tried it again last night, with turning off the click and the count-in and it still wouldn't start back where I placed the purple cursor.
