This might have been covered already, but I'm trying to copy over my user setting from M6 to M7. When I do it says my license is invalid. I just bought 7 tonight though.. is it because it's a temporary license?

Steps:
1) Get your MuLab 6 working with your MuLab 6 licence
2) Get MuLab 7 working in a separate folder with the Demo licence
3) Copy the User settings from MuLab 6 to MuLab 7
4) Confirm MuLab 7 is still working with the Demo lience
5) Enter your MuLab 7 licence key into MuLab 7
Where did it go wrong?

thanks, I haven't tried it in this sequence. will give it a go.
have another related question.
I use MUX in Cubase and have V6 and just updated to 7 but Cubase only shows 7's FX version. It doesn't show V7 vsti. FYI I renamed V7 since they are named the same.
I hate that about Cubase.. anyway around this?
If not how would I update MUX to version 7... overwrite M6?

Installation info is here: http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mux/installation.html
Basically: Unzip the MUX zip package to a new folder and eventually copy over your MUX 6 user settings.
If a host gets confused by detecting both MUX 6 and MUX 7, then delete the MUX 6 folder.

Thanks, will give this a go tonight. Appreciate it.
One last question : ) Does Mux only create stereo channels?
If I have a layered synth inside and want the sub in mono, and route both outputs into Cubase... can I create a mono output for the sub so that Cubase see's it as mono and not as stereo?

Yes MUX Modular VST has 4 stereo outputs. You can use them as mono by panning signals full left or full right, but they're still stereo jacks to the host.
