In my account I see:

MTotalBundle: You have purchased 12 products for € 579.5
You get 81 new plugins with this upgrade: 1093 EUR

579.5 + 1093 = 1,672.50

Cost of MTotalBundle: € 1499

What am I missing here?

They only take into account 70% of your previous purchases.
Math is not the problem here actually.

If you want the best deal, wait around for the sales on upgrades.
In the past, they have done it typically once or twice a year iirc.

If that trend holds true, one should be coming up before too long.

Another option would be to carefully select a few of the plugins that are discounted each week and over time, reduce how much you pay for the upgrade. You may save some money that way if you need another option.
