MSampler?

I think you may be waiting a while. This has come up before and I don't think it was a priority for vojtech. Personally I'd love some sampler like functionality, especially in mxxx, but I think you're better off going for kontakt. Besides they kind of own the market when it comes to libraries anyway.

Vojtech mentioned that he won't come up with a "new sampler on the market", if I remember correct. Nevertheless: I bet Vojtech would make a better job than Native Instruments. I really don't like Kontakt and I hate it that I am kind of bound to it, when using some libraries (even while trying to avoid samples libs as much as possible ... in the end some things still need to be sampled or layerd ...).
It also depends on what you want to do. If you are going to do orchestral stuff, where you probably really need to sample stuff: Kontakt could be a good thing, since - like already mentioned - most libs out there need it, unfortunately ... some libraries also offer a lib for Kontakt Player Free, which is nice as well. But these libs are mostly the "big ones", since it's expensive like hell to developers to "unlock" the library for the free Kontakt Player ... it's really damn rediculous. Just some offoptic besides: I once requested such a thing in the context of my crowdfunding for a library I made and they either wan't a huge fee or they need to get around 3000 ... or even 5000 € ? ... to "unlock" a library for the Kontakt Player ... rediculous. I mean: for what!?? For clicking a button like "unlock lib XY for player version"? Ever since I do not like Native Instruments anymore ... stupid company concept maybe, who knows ...

Native instruments have really ran out of ideas, it just seems like the once innovative company has gone stale.
I'd love to see melda have some sort of sample or file modification product, perhaps like Iris. Melda are already doing awesome spectral work with mtransform, mfreeformeq, mspectraldynamics and mmorph. I recently bought Iris and I really wish it had melda's feature set.
That could open the door to time modification, unusual creative effects, more interesting morphing ideas, etc. I can dream.

Yes, Iris is great for sound design, I love the library it ships with.vectorwarrior wrote:Native instruments have really ran out of ideas, it just seems like the once innovative company has gone stale.

Anyway Vojtech has said that he IS making a sampler. But we have to wait for MYYY.

I think that's what jmg meant, there won't be a dedicated sampler, but certainly MYYY shall have one (or two
)

I probably already asked you, but: any clue on how exactly this will be usable? Just a sampler module for one simple sample, or even Kontakt-alike multi-velocity and even round-robin features?MeldaProduction wrote:I think that's what jmg meant, there won't be a dedicated sampler, but certainly MYYY shall have one (or two)

It can be as complex as neededTagirijus wrote:I probably already asked you, but: any clue on how exactly this will be usable? ... I am really looking forward to it!
Edit: it is possibly quite brash now, but: it would be a sharm, if the loaded samples in the sampling-module would not create certain files, rather than just loading them as they are. This is always an issue which keeps me from using tools, when they create additional files related to the source file without my permission.

Yes! Iris has more potential and Melda would be one that can make it happen.jmg8 wrote:Yes, Iris is great for sound design, I love the library it ships with.vectorwarrior wrote:Native instruments have really ran out of ideas, it just seems like the once innovative company has gone stale.
