Hi i have a new idea to discuss, about something like rob papens prisma from u-he, which uses the engine of all u-he effects and instruments.
So you would have perfect layered sounds like nexus, rapid, vengeance avenger, dune2 or d16 lush101 and people could share presests from layered sounds, basslines or songparts on a fingertip.
The tool would use the engine of all u-he plugins, but only if you own the plugin you can edit the used instrument / effect.
8 or 10 slots for instruments + effects should be enough, because you have to compensate drums with synths like ace or diva.
Sounddesigner have more options to sell advanced presets.
The u-he player tool could offer a sequencer, midi player, arp etc and in combination with 8 effect slots per layer - ubhik, presswerk, satin, etc can enhance the synth sound with macro knobs per layer and group.
u-he layer / all in one tool (rob papen prisma / avenger)

I can't say much about that. We have similar ideas every now and then, but they have to queue up in a very long list of things we need to do beforehand.

IMHO the average Rob Papen stuff use less CPU than u-he stuff,
so if there was a u-he plugin to layer things, that would kill the cpu easily

Bumped into this topic on google while looking for something else but...
Just wanted to say I think its time to make these "preset developers" job harder by pushing them into designing presets for a dedicated multi layer tool.

i dont think u-he should create such layering tool.
if someone wants such tool, can find patcher in flstudio, or can try Unify which is extremely good for layering.
