it is comparable limited like the legend and strobe2 (only 1 osc) but i like these synths so much more than many other synths with infinity functions. With the restrictions I reach quick results for very nice sounds. We'll see. For now I want this to concentrate on being "that emulation" of that synth. If we add too much, it'll divert from that goal.
I think I also want people to feel the restrictions within that synth. It's not a be all end all synth, it's the synth that did this or that in this or that way. And then you can listen to Yazoo and think, hmm, yep, that's why it sounds like that. In other words, I want to share what this synth meant to me.

A great emulation of a great synth and some fantastic additions too. When I sold mine it had got to a stage where it gave a very piercing noise when the power switch was fliiped off, don't think it was very well, not sorry I got rid of it anymore now Repro~1 is here and totally agree with Urs about what it meant to him. It is just about perfect as is and no need for polyphony etc.

Why don't you buy FS only?2ZrgE wrote:Only missing Filterscape here (damn that ugly interface...)![]()

Oh, just checked, FS costs way more than Repro, so it would not make much sense unless you really needed FS anyway

Since I registered as "Beta Tester," I feel I should do my part and report the trouble I had with midi learn. I could assign something well enough, but the assignments weren't remembered. And then, for some reason, when I tried to set the same one again, I wouldn't be able to. Sorry if that's a bit lacking in specificity.
Otherwise, I've been having a blast playing with this, especially the sequencer. Thanks for letting us all demo it.

Hehe, we've decided to be lenient with this. I won't advise it, but if anyone wishes to spend more money on something they don't want just to get Repro for free, you have a week to get there.2ZrgE wrote:Only missing Filterscape here (damn that ugly interface...)![]()

Hi Dakl, could you send me some info about that to support[at]u-he.com please? Want to see what the reasons might be. It does work fine here on our systems, so maybe something else interferes.Dakl wrote:... I could assign something well enough, but the assignments weren't remembered. Thanks!

I tried the linux version in Mixbus, Bitwig and Qtractor,
and all the controls and switching among panels while playing
behave nicely, and the sound and effects are wonderful.
Almost too wonderful...
My lone feature request is for a midi-out port from that great sequencer,
to ride herd on the Zebras of the world, stray JV rack modules etc
This might also lessen the outcry for poly-synth capability.
Cheers

Yeah, instant goosebumps here as wellCinebient wrote:But hell, this thing is the best sounding synth i ever heard. Especially with this awesome sequencer and the added FX.
I started with a patch i liked and tweaked it and then it was there......i hit a key and got instant gosebumps.
to U-he.
I'm playing with it right now within Bidule and Logic, and it's working like a charm.
It definitely has *that* sound!
Then these great effects, the arp and the sequencer push it to the highest level.
No doubt we've got a serious sound design tool here.
A star is born!

Oops, I misread your question...Urs wrote:It's an option we're still investigating. We actually had a version in-house that works as synth with multiple ins and outs. We used it to interface Repro-1 with a Eurorack modular synth. However, it's been a rough ride because all DAWs tend to handle this differently. This feature alone would have cost us weeks to get right, if one can get there at all, so we left it aside. Hence, we do not know yet if we get it done, and if it meets our standards.hivkorn wrote:Hey Urs , do you plain to release the FX of Repro-1 as VST fx ?
(I think I mentioned it in the "need to know" section of the first post)
As for the effects: Yes, we have plans to do some more with them. I was thinking about a full blown Lyrebird Pro as a bucket brigade construction kit, similar to Satin, Jaws II and Sonic Conditioner as additions to Uhbik. Zebra 2.9 will also have a wavefolder, and an extended ResQ will feature in Zebra3.

Indeed! I just bought MFM2, the last U-He product I didn't own yet, and got Repro-1 for free.Urs wrote:Hehe, we've decided to be lenient with this. You were not supposed to do that, so this is very generous of you, thanks a lot!
And obviously MFM2 will get some use as well.
