I have Diva, ZHZ, and Hive. Wasn't going to get this, but after downloading and spending a bit with it, I must say it is a snarky little bastard.
And so, into the collection it goes.
Nice work!

True, but I do appreciate Legend's four voice mode if only for unison. Just say'n. This is fine though.Mutant wrote:FFS people please stop complaining about mono, you just need to learn how to make any mono synth play in polyphony # of your choice.
I won't repeat this info here, use google or kvr search.

The linux rakarrack style panel motif would be a great way toUrs wrote: That said, we are tempted to build them into plug-ins on their own right, either as separate products or as part of the Uhbik bundle.
present your effects,
http://rakarrack.sourceforge.net/
It displays a panel of 10 effects
chosen from 40+ effects, with rak on/off, wet/dry sliders, % effect slider,
then each effect has on-off, preset dropdown, and the plugins unique controls, and your created collections of 10 can be saved and loaded,
and daisy-chain heaven awaits only an imagination.
I hardly ever load individual effects.
Cheers

Just bought it.
I think I found a typo in the manual. The text on Lyrebird (p. 26) says "Tip: Try turning FEEDB up and modulating TIME" - did you mean "REGEN" instead of "FEEDB"?
Odd. Is the phase different on the waveforms?Urs wrote:
- The waveforms mix completely differently, the Pro-One's often go quiet while the Prophet-5 goes louder when mixing more than 1.
I'm hoping you can hold on 10.7 or 10.8 for a long time, there's a nasty audio bug that was introduced in Yosemite that still has not been fixed AFAIK; one of the reasons I've frozen my system at 10.8.5.Urs wrote:Yep, unfortunately that's true. Apart from C++2011 we also have to move to Audio Units V3 - unless we want run into big trouble with whatever Apple releases next.rockbottom wrote:yet does this mean that from now on OS 10.7 will be required for any u-he newly-compiled Mac release ?
We've been lucky that no OS update has ever thrown us completely, but we have to slowly drop older versions of MacOS X to stay functional.
Cool, a bucket brigade construction kit sounds excellent.Urs wrote:As for the effects: Yes, we have plans to do some more with them. I was thinking about a full blown Lyrebird Pro as a bucket brigade construction kit, similar to Satin, Jaws II and Sonic Conditioner as additions to Uhbik. Zebra 2.9 will also have a wavefolder, and an extended ResQ will feature in Zebra3.

Yes please!Urs wrote:There's a plan to add the Synthex-variant of the circuitry to Diva.
I can't wait to see what you do with Zebra after everything you've learned from ACE, Diva, Bazille, Repro...Urs wrote:But we have to finish Repro first, and then I have a large itch for some Zebra business.

Yes, that's one of the things which are still to do.geronimo wrote:Another thing: I did not copy the seq.1 on seq2 with the Copy / Paste functions .
But if you want to use copy and paste for the sequences right now, you can use the menu that pops up when you click on the preset button (left of the rotate buttons).

Activate the effect module, then switch from the Effects to the Keys tab, go to the Perform section and right-click (or ctrl-click) on the mod destination display to open the menu with all available modulation targets. At the bottom you will be able to choose the parameters of the effects (they will only show up in the menu if the module is activated). And then have fun.zerocrossing wrote:I know you're in beta (and I actually believe that beta means feature complete) but what I would love, love, love, is a way to assign effect parameters to velocity and aftertouch the way you can assign other parameters. Maybe in a future release?

I have been patiently waiting for some years for some software Wavefolders that actually sound decent to appear.Urs wrote:It's a wavefolder... something that's usually found in Buchla-style modular systems. I just couldn't resist adding it to Repro.mataya wrote:The synth is great and all, but that JAWS module is what I want to get my hands on...it's crazy...what kind of plugin would you recommend to achieve the same sound. Is tihs a regular waveshaping distortion or what?
I'm not sure if there is an effect plug-in that does this. It's kind of multiple-foldback distortion.
We do have plans to make this available as a plug-in, probably within the Uhbik family.
Other than Jaws, the only other one that comes close to Hardware (also a separate plugin) is the Melda MWavefolder or MMultibandWavefolder.
Still waiting for one that I can modulate the folding with an audio rate signal though!! That is a whole world of heavy metal sound design right there....

Yes, I just go through the manual and buttons (Copy and Paste) I mentioned are useful to copy from one preset to another.

Can't automate:
-pitch bend range
-fx bypass button
-clean/p1 switches
-any of the jumpers
-anything in the clock/arp/seq section
hopefully this will be fixed
so here's the Kore template, hopefully to be improved...
I'll add that this might well be this year's coolest vst, and possibly my first u-he acquisition...

Diva is a waltz, Repro-1 is breakdancing at a raveCaine123 wrote:stupid question, why get this when you have diva?

You choose
*off-topic about a waltz:
" J Strauss II made his American debut in Boston on June 17, 1872, conducting The Blue Danube for the World Peace Jubilee. For the occasion, Patrick Sarsfield Gilmore, an Irish bandmaster, assembled an orchestra of 2000 and a choir of 20,000."
Puts modern awards shows to shame!
