I rather would use the darker Ozone style I made (or better "tweaked") for and by myself, but still: your skin looks nice! I bet people would use it. Looks clean and decent.
Quite a lot of work, yes - mainly understanding the consequences of what you change. But the preview in the Style Editor is pretty good. The Style Editor is very powerful (as you'd expect with any MeldaProductions product. ) Go get Knobman too.
I should say that I run my monitors with low brightness and contrast (about 40% each), otherwise I get dazzled, so those pics may come up too bright / garish on your screens.
I'll look into it, Melda is in my studio to stay and forms the core of my setup- investing time and effort into skinning isn't wasted I think. I see that you've participated in writing the guide as well!
Brightness looks fine on my reference panel, even slightly subdued hues which is a good thing.
I generally found out that in order to make a good style, one really needs to take photoshop and draw all elements there to check it out if it "makes sense" together. Your style is fine, but it's a lot like a clone of minimalistic probably, with different colors. Though I must say that I started to sort of hate the minimalistic, so maybe if you make it superawesome, we could replace the current minimalistic .
@DarkStar: keep going, looks very promising! Gives the plugins a very modern look and gets them away from the ugly standard "90s beginning of the internet" look.
The skins by this guy inspired me to buy MXXX. I wish Melda would integrate these styles into their app as I genuinely think it would drive more sales.
Melda has a good rep for sound quality but many comments across forums mention a distaste for current styles and skins and so people opt not to buy into their products for this reason alone.
