VST 3.0 64 bit does not work in Renoise 3.1.0, does it (for anyone, perhaps I am to blame) ? Or it could be a Renoise issue.
VST3 works fine in Reaper (most recent version).

VST 2 64 bit works fine in Renoise 3.1.0. Appears great so far. Typical u-he magic.

True that! Forgot about softube, but after hearing about the patch management I decided there was not enough real reason to go down that route as It doesn't offer much over my actual modular synth.ImNotDedYet wrote:Softube Modular? They have an extra module from Intellijel that does wave folding. I've not tried audio rate through it, but audio rate in the other modules worked fine from what I remember.Terrafractyl wrote:I have been patiently waiting for some years for some software Wavefolders that actually sound decent to appear.Urs wrote:It's a wavefolder... something that's usually found in Buchla-style modular systems. I just couldn't resist adding it to Repro.mataya wrote:The synth is great and all, but that JAWS module is what I want to get my hands on...it's crazy...what kind of plugin would you recommend to achieve the same sound. Is tihs a regular waveshaping distortion or what?
I'm not sure if there is an effect plug-in that does this. It's kind of multiple-foldback distortion.
We do have plans to make this available as a plug-in, probably within the Uhbik family.
Other than Jaws, the only other one that comes close to Hardware (also a separate plugin) is the Melda MWavefolder or MMultibandWavefolder.
Still waiting for one that I can modulate the folding with an audio rate signal though!! That is a whole world of heavy metal sound design right there....
(In which I have a Serge Wave Multiplier, a CGS Wave Multiplier, a Buchla 208 Timbre and a J.Haible wavefolder....so I am a bit spoiled for Wavefolders)
Although Jaws wont modulate @ audio rate I really love that Repro1 has a lot more of this oversampled stuff going on than most other synths. Totally worth whatever CPU it costs in my opinion. I am LOVing the PWM today

Not a Renoise expert, but as far as I know, it does not support VST3. Only VST2 and AU plugins can be loaded.KoolFartWind wrote:VST 3.0 64 bit does not work in Renoise 3.1.0, does it (for anyone, perhaps I am to blame) ? Or it could be a Renoise issue.

With the Drench knob set at dry, I'm still getting reverb, anyone else?
Strange, it's only with the UH The Gate Snaps in preset

With that preset Drench Dry/Wet is a mod destination in the "Perform" mod matrix at the right of the keyboard. If you set the mod amount tehre to 0 the Reverb should be off.PavoniMaster wrote:With the Drench knob set at dry, I'm still getting reverb, anyone else?

If we're talking about the foldback distortion alone (not the other parameters) - yes, some plug does it. and even for freeUrs wrote:It's a wavefolder... something that's usually found in Buchla-style modular systems. I just couldn't resist adding it to Repro.

(I just checked. it's very close to your module - or so it seemed to me)
I re-found it a week ago (the plug) and tend to use it quite a lot.

Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

Looking forward to hear what you can do with this synth. It seems to lend itself nicely to the type of sounds you made so far.kyhon wrote:Repro-1 Library = In the near future![]()

Setting the clock to "key" mode is an interesting feature when the sequencer is in "play" mode. I tried sequencing velocity and assigning velocity to the filter cutoff, to create variations in the sound from note to note.
However, I find it difficult to play. If I play slightly legato, the sound stops as soon as I lift the first key even though I am still holding down the second key. I have to force myself to play completely non-legato to get the notes to sustain the way I intended.
Maybe this is the behavior of the original Pro One? From my perspective it seems like a bug because it's not what I expected. After a while it became clear that any note-off triggers the note to stop when in this mode, but it doesn't feel right to me after playing legato in the normal monophonic mode.
It's not a huge deal because I can clean up a MIDI recording in my DAW if needed, but it does make this feature hard to use for live performance IMO.
It might be nice to have a switch to ignore all note-offs until the last key is lifted (or make this the default behavior). I totally understand if this is how the Pro One behaves and you're not going to change it. Just wanted to share my experience.
Awesome synth! This is my only nitpick so far.

As of this month, I have owned a real Pro-One for 35 years. I still don't fully understand the modulation section (yes, I've read the manual). Maybe in another 35 years I'll have it totally figured out.Urs wrote:Hehe, yes it is. It always was.gentleclockdivider wrote:imho the modulation section is verry unintuitive .....

On second thought, this use case doesn't really make sense. Why wouldn't I just play my notes with different velocities? lol. You can ignore my previous post.adamj wrote:Setting the clock to "key" mode is an interesting feature when the sequencer is in "play" mode. Maybe I don't understand what the clock "key" mode is for. Hooking up an external sequencer to this synthesizer, I guess?
