Omnisphere 3.0 is going to be the ultimate sampler-workstation keyboard inside of your computer. (in be4 the usual, NO IT WON"T EVER HAPPEN WHY DONT YOU JUST SHUTUP)
Who cares about Omnisphere 3 when we'll have your super workstation in 2022. That's all I'll' need.
Where are your blueprints sketched with pencil and paper? Mine have been stored in the closet for 5 years. Drawing a detailed 3-DIM rendering of a next-generation workstation keyboard in the year 2012 (viewed from 3 angles), with a simple mechanical pencil and notebook paper isn't really that easy is it? :)

PS: I was in the "TANK" downtown. hahaha

How about a This Omnisphere vs That Omnisphere discussion?

Yeah... I don't have drawings of keyboards in my closet or anywhere else because I'm not a delusional lunatic who thinks I'm going to make ALL the music things. But that's a cool hobby if you like to draw keyboards. Why put them in your closet though? You should frame them and put them on the wall at least.

Nah.
It needs to be a poll, cause those are LEGIT.
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

You sound like the delusional lunatic. we just want our rightful 20% of the workstation keyboard market, about 5% of the monitoring market, and 1% of the software market. Our goal is to enable other businesses and corporations such as.. (yam, korg, rol, kurz, spectr, camel, NI, steinberg) to keep innovating instead of getting stagnant and rehashing the exact same technologies in a slightly different box. (ex. kurzweil and roland use the same waveforms from the early 90's and the same synthesis engine, maybe slightly modified) ymmv, IMVHO, etc...

Well to be honest I still think you're taking the piss, but if not, best of luck to you sir.

I'll wait to decide between Cubase 12 and Studio One 4.

Ah yes. This forum never disappoints me with its level of hostility.

Carry on children.

I think it is reasonable to assume that since they most likely had one or two part time piano restorers/techs on the keyscape project they have been simultaneously doing the same thing with other instrument categories and can expect a series of library roll outs. When will the next Rudess-demo-worthy Omni 2.xx feature update be? My guess is early 2018. There are actually not too many major features that can be added so I expect them to be doled out judiciously over time.

Post

Actually... I can think of a few ways that Omnisphere can improve.

Let's make a list of things that could be better in Omnisphere 3:

1. Two arpeggiators - one for each layer.
2. Improve those two arpeggiators so they are as good as Arcsyn. Let's face it - Omni's arp is not exactly cutting edge.
3. Those microscopic buttons under the A and B layers - make them LARGER, thank you.
4. And also than near-invisible magnifying glass of the patch browser.
5. And then make the whole GUI resizable.
6. And while you're on that, Eric Persing, how about if we can choose our own skins?
7. And please - absolutely NO MORE marimba samples.
8. Add your own here.

LOL I dunno what this guy smokes, but it's good.

This post is (just about) the most ridiculous trash I've ever read or fantasized about on KVR. hahahahahaha

Post

Well, if you look at this from an adult's perspective, your childish posts aren't really helping your case. Also, there's the fact that you keep bumping this thread. Think about it for a moment...

Post

Yes, while some talking just about the future, others are creating it already with Tanvas, all the new MPE stuff, new interesting plug-ins etc.
Sorry for another (last) bump from me but of course this is just a bad ass click bait thread with Omnisphere 3 in the title.
Maybe better to cut off the internet in his padded cell..... :D
