Not true. Countries outside of EU have VAT. Even single states of the US. Not all, but some.
Technically speaking in certain US states we have sales tax but EU form of VAT we're talking here about is more like sales tax.
Eg if U-he was selling directly company from California or U-he distributor is located in California I would pay 9.5% sales tax + posted price.

Sure, a lot of countries have VAT, and all of them are different. But you - as a German company - are only obliged to collect it from private buyers within in the EU (as far as I understood).
Anyway, all I wanted to say with this is, that there is not one fixed price to display for you, just as you described now in very much detail ;). I am all on your side on this, because - as you described - it's the most correct way to show the actual product price and keep that the same for everyone and then add on top what you are legally obliged to do. And only I can't understand the fuss about all this, it's something like €14 in the end? My last pizza bill was higher (including only 7% VAT btw, because it was takeaway  ).

If you wait and buy it 'used' you wont pay any VAT

Now for something positive: Repro-1 Filter is now 50% faster, uses half the CPU - that's 4 days well spent :-) It makes Repro-1 use about 30%-40% less CPU. We're working on more improvements, and we're probably adding a CPU saving mode for patches without intense modulation or filter resonance.

You are right, I am so much used to seeing the "+ VAT" on their website that I just implied it.

Actually to €76,62 for me having a VAT of 19% in germany. You see where the problem is?
Stefken wrote: When you browse a shop, normally the price displayed is the price you pay. (Except when you're flying with Ryanair  )
Yeah, well.... but see Rob's explanation :)

Wow, that is an impressive improvement for the stage this software is already in. What did you do, removed all the sleeps and waits??

And u-he don't get any of the sale. That's how we end up having less nice things.

Oh please. Bashing second market is stupid.
U-he would already have price paid for plugin by that time - or there would be no second hand plugin on the market.

If u-he had a problem with that, they wouldnt allow it. They do allow it. Go figure.

Repro is not just a filter.
he shaved 50% off the filter
and 30-40% off the plugin as a whole.

ah damn....didn't read properly :bang:

Wasn't he also going to shave some off the oscillator tuning mechanism which used 'an expensive math function'?
I like NI stuff, some I even love or have deep like, but I always find it so ironic that their lost is our gain.
U-he in general, makes so much better synths than NI, for my use anyway (I love some reaktor modules but it is unnecessarily complex imho).

4 days? Yeah it would have taken me a bit longer, I'm glad you did it. Thanks Urs. I cleaned my desk instead.

Well, actually urs fixed it nicely by just adding + VAT.
That way as a customer you have a clear indication what to expect.
